Thanks, he's a little over 1 year. In theory their lifespan is about 2 years, the longest I managed to keep one of the little fellows alive was 2 years and 4 months.

They seem to make lovely pets, shame about their short livespans. I guess you'd better make sure to spoil them a lot!

My sister used to have fancy rats as pets, very smart and cute litte creatures, but they also live far too short
