ZeekyBoogeyDoog Posted August 23, 2007 I had a similar experience with the "spanker" sail on the New Covenant. Click the thumbs to see the difference!! I'm sure you will get it ironed out! Thanks! Hopefully the new square sails will be the closest to the correct sizes.Your ship is looking better and better!Really, those changes you are doing improve it a lot. I even think we should headline it on www.classic-pirates.com once it is finished. Thank you, I would be honored :-$ !Really impressed with this ship *wub* what do you use for the sails? paper? cloth??Thanks! I used paper since I am lazy, although one day I might make cloth sails.now this is really impressive *sweet*btw are there more pictures of that fierce battle between the Black Seas Barracuda and your Hms Repulse? i always loved those kind of pictures Keep up the good work Thanks! I can take more pictures, at the moment that's all I have of that diorama. My concept of playing nowadays is making dioramas. They remind me of Lego catalogues I loved to pore over when I was little. Errorist Posted August 24, 2007 Thanks! I can take more pictures, at the moment that's all I have of that diorama. My concept of playing nowadays is making dioramas. ZeekyBoogeyDoog Posted August 25, 2007 Ah yes the catalogues now those were fun aaagh times gone by :'-) Geuss it's time to bring those times back!!! *sweet* One day I would love to have a large landscape for my castle and pirate stuff, like what model railroad enthusiasts do. Perhaps brick built, if I ever get enough bricks and skill to make the landscape realistic. As for the ship, it needs some parts from a Bricklink order I'm waiting for. I also realized I unfortunately can't put 3 sails on the mainmast and foremast, they're too tall. So I have to fiddle with the masts some more... :-/
ZeekyBoogeyDoog Posted September 3, 2007 Finally finished! The beginning of the school year has severely curtailed available building time, but fortunately I finished it this weekend. Not very much different from the last update, but I added yellow statues and all the sails, as as brick built cannons. There are now 2 stern chasers. A view of a gun deck. Oh, my god, they killed Kenny!
Capn Frank Posted September 4, 2007 (edited) ZeekyBoogeyDoog, I think you've pushed the use of prefab hulls to limit! and still looks good too *y* Added this MOC to the index of MOC ships. Good work! *y* If you like, the title and subtitle of your thread can be changed; just let us know what you like it changed to, if you want it changed. :-$ P Edited September 4, 2007 by phred
Captain Green Hair Posted September 6, 2007 (edited) Awesome ship mate, the captain would like to steel it some time X-D Like Phred said, you've pushed the standard hull to limit, without making it crude *y* Greetings! oo7 Posted September 9, 2007 Marvelous! It's great to see this magnificent beauty completed with sails. I quite liked the ladder concept, it's a shame you were forced to remove due to the lack of space. Oh well, next ship, I suppose! X-D Oh, my god, they killed Kenny! Oh god no! 8-( Excellent vessel, mate! *y* *y*

Ashurbanipal Posted September 21, 2022 On 8/8/2007 at 4:59 AM, ZeekyBoogeyDoog said: 36b I finished my biggest MOC yet, and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. First, thanks to everyone who posted in the Endeavour thread; I really appreciated the helpful and friendly advice and feedback, which has significantly improved my previous version of this ship. Also, thanks to Mosana for the navy torsos. Ive written a little backstory for this MOC as well: The commodore of the Imperial Guards' West Indies fleet is tired of being stymied by pirates with bigger ships and swiveling guns. The brigands have become so bold as to decorate their sails with stripes and big skulls and crossbones. Finally, his request for aid has been acknowledged. The infernal navy bureaucracy has at last decided the colonies warrant the presence of a 52 gun man o war. Of course, in Imperial Guard tradition, due to the incompetency of naval echelons the ship has arrived with only 4 cannons on board. Gallery Beatiful! A full-sized ship of the line isn't common.
