LEGO Discovery Center coming to SOUTH FLORIDA?!

Recommended Posts

Being in one county north of Miami Dade, I'm excited to see that we may be getting a LEGOLand... and the world's biggest mall!

According to the Herald, the company Triple Five, is seeking to build a 200-acre entertainment complex complete with roller coasters, a Legoland, sea lions and simulated ski slopes.

LEGOLand Florida already exists....

I would assume they mean a store similar to my store, LEGO Store MoA, or a DIscovery Center.

Maybe, and I doubt even this, a LEGO Discovery Center in Miami?

More likely, someone is trying to scam money from a tax district, like the 300 times that Six Flags was supposedly coming to Florida, even though 6F Corporate has stated repeatedly that they will not try to compete in that market (wisely).

Also: The Mall of America is a soul-less shrine to consumerism that underwhelms most visitors, has trouble maintaining tenant occupancy rates and most locals avoid at all costs until the relatives come to visit and want to go. Clearly, bigger is the answer. lol

(I lived in Eagan, MN for a few years, just 3-4 minutes away... blech.)

It looks more like a discovery center, or just a LEGO area that's unique to that mall; not quite a discovery center or a LEGOLAND.

At least we have freezing cold as a reason. However, that light show is REALLY annoying.

Ah, that makes sense! Still, I'd even be happy with a Discovery Center.
