First Moc: BMW 3 series

Recommended Posts

Hi EB,

I have a soft spot for 90something 4 stud wide city cars, and I did my best to make an 80s 3 series in that style.

I still can't decide on which rims to use

Thanks for looking :classic:

Actually the front end does scream BBW.....just one little part did it.

Though the front bumper is a little off I think, my dad owns an early 90's BBW.

Brick On 'Hrodebert' !

The front sells is indeed and is instantly recognisable. I don't see the beemer in the rest of it though, but then it is difficult at that scale.

Ha brilliant...takes me back to my childhood. I agree with LT though...I think the lower half of your front bumper needs to go the full length of the front and be the same colour as the body. Only separated by a strip of black...like this....

If it ties up with your detail all round the car...I think you will be onto a winner!

It certainly has the front end of a BM Trouble-you, but I agree with Gazumpty on his updates. I'd put 1x1 round tiles as the headlights though, and maybe have black rubber bands for the black parts of the fender. My vote goes to the grey rims as well, but good luck with whichever road you decide to take this down

Thanks for the feedback everyone,

I did have some headaches with the front. Trying to use only a single grill on a jumper plate limited my options for the bumper(using a 1x3 plate behind the bottom of the grill to attach it), but I never thought of using a rubber band; thanks Criga.
