60's Sci-Fi Robot

Recommended Posts

I've been watching the 60's sci-fi show "Lost in Space" so I did a little vig with a retro feel. Hope you like it. I'm not sure how to format the page correctly, sorry.

This is the B-9 Robot, not Robbie.

Robbie is the Black robot from the Gremlins film and Forbidden Planet.

This is the B-9 from Lost in Space, also used in Mystery Island. And a bloody good version too.

Gee, whiz that sure is a swell rubbut ya got there! I like the arms and legs especially. Really far-out!

Well shucks, I'm really glad you liked it sir. This rubbut sure means a lot to me saying as he's like one of the family and all.

Robby isn't the robot from Lost in Space (although it made appearances from time to time). The robot on Lost in Space was just "robot."

Robot from Lost in Space... "B-9, Class M-3 General Utility Non-Theorizing Environmental Control Robot," simply called "Robot" on the show.

PaddyBricksplitter's robot looks more like a cross (the head is more like "Robot," the legs more like Robby), but it seems to me he was going for B-9 (especially with the "kid" in the MOC).

In any event, a great MOC, nice job!

With a change in the body colour and the right head, you could make it Bender from futurama...
