Whoa you both have a Lot of figs. I would estimate that you both have more than me. Bye the way the redcoat Torsos from 2009 are available again for 0,61 Euro at Lego.com.

So you can easily make new reds and Blues. I have Made one Order at lego anf one at bricklink. 100 Soldiers for 2,10 Euro plus wapons I allready have, per Soldier. The only expensive Part is the new shakko.

Oh but I didnt order the 2009 version, even though I couldve ordered over a thousand of them... Nope, Instead I ordered the PoTC King Georges Officers torsos as I think they are more "Accurate" to the time perio of 1750 etc. I will post pictures when I get them all assembled and so on.

I just looked at bricklink. I could buy the torso in high amount in Germany for 0,87 Euro thats a good price. Plus shipping to Finnland it would be even a good price. I just use this torso as a high officer for my reds.

Aye, I just use the epaulets to differ the officers from the soldiers. The common foot sodliers wont have any, corprals or sergants get then the epaulettes but in different colours to tell the rank. The 2009 soldiers which I have at the moment as in my army (Over 50 or so) will be then transferred to be the Marine core, as I fit the torso fits a bit better for that usage. At the moment the uniform for my marines is the CMF red judge Torso from series 9.

I'm trying to find the torsos on Lego.com but I can't find them?

Yeah the epaulettes is a good idea, I'm doing the exact same. The new red coats (2009?) make up the bulk of my army. Along with older ones as a different unit, along side other pirates as other unit types.

Captain Becker, your army is gonna be so cool by the sounds, quite similar to mine

I also have to expand the band now, the CMS 13 classic king is perfect, you can see the photo if you scroll back a page. Only thing is im not sure if I should use yellow epaulets and old black shakos, or golden epaulets and brown tricornes.... Im torn between the two.

I was going to have marines and build a ship but I've never got round to it and probably never will. Mine will just be normal red coats but with top hats

I would make both and see which fits better to be honest. Tricornes they should have though

Again, my couple I have in the band are just normal soldiers but with trumpets and drums..

I remember once seeing These custom yellow soldiers who this person has as their band and they looked really neat. Yellow instead of red, yellow arms and yellow legs.. Looked really awesome. It was actually bonapart or however it is spelt on here who posted it

I finally got around of taking the first photos of my army. First is my Marine company wich has total of 62 minifigs! I also show my Scottish Highlanders, toal of 3, and the Old Guard. 2 Minifigs.

Final total of: 67. I apologize if the pictures seem a bit dark. It was a very cloudy when I took the pictures. Anyway, the troops:

The Marine Company, Wich includes 50 Marines, they all have white backpacks. 7 Port Soldiers, which are carrying the black muskets. three officers atm, and two Guards also holding black muskets.

Next we have the Highlaners: Two Bagpipers and one Regular/infantry

The Old Guard: Officer and regular, Both minifigs are in top notch condition!

Last I want to ask a small question: As you an see from the pictures, the marines currently have the new 2009 shako which im not really a fan of, I want to replace those whit one of these three opinion. Please tell me your thoughts what would they have. As my Ground Forces (Coming soon have the tricones already.

Next on the line: The Royal Navy! (Coming soon)

Black tricorns work best here. I would use bicorn for some city guards and top hats for low naval officers

After a build I did for Brethern of the Brick Seas with a large number of soldiers, I decided to set up and photograph the rest of my imperial armies. They are not as impressive as some armies seen on here, but it was fun to assemble them nonetheless. I did not repeat any pieces for the series of photos, which is why the Bluecoats didn't get any cavalry. Enjoy!

How do I post my army into this topic?

Use any picture hosting website (Flickr, Brickshelf etc.), copy link to the said picture in here and it shall magically appear. I believe there was a guide somewhere around, can't seem to recall where...

Hope this helps! :pir-thumb:

A few days ago, someone actually viewed and liked my army, which I showed here in 2015, on Flickr. I'm so inactive here and there that I wondered if anyone had posted a bigger army in the meantime. But not yet. However, I have now taken this as an opportunity to provide another update on my army. Not that much has been added, because I have 4 children now and mainly build Ninjago and build my city with with my big son. However, I collected all my spare parts from 2015, ordered new torsos of the blue coat torsos from Lego and got about 50 soldiers together very cheaply. Long story short, here are the pictures ( Sorry I forgot how to embed images here directly):

https://flic.kr/p/2pAMCx4

https://flic.kr/p/2pAT3pZ

https://flic.kr/p/2pATHPb

You can see here:

179 Soldiers from 1989

178 Soldiers from 2015

48 Soldiers from 2023

10 Officers from 1989

6 Officers from 2015

3 Officers from 2023

11 Seamen from 1989 (Car. Clipper)

2 Seamen from 2023 (Eldorado)

5 Gunboatofficer from 1989

1 Captain/Admiral from 2015

1 Admiral from 2015

3 G. Broadside from 1989

1 Admiral from 2023

1 King from 2015 (Chess)

5 custom military secret service soldier

1 custom military secret service officer

20 custom special forces soldier (torso rev. soldier)

12 Cavalarists (2015 Torso and legs daugher of the Admiral)

3 custom Gunnors

1 Captain out of a Lego- Catalogue from 1990

All together 490 Bluecoats.
