ritztoys Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Fellow Builders, This is what happens after a couple of cups of coffee and combined that with some classic parts, you get a Backhoe.................enjoy That's my story and I'm sticking to it.............. Quote
GallardoLU Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 im going to go out on a limb and say this was caused by more than coffee... perhaps a child's TV show and some free time its a great build though, lots of nice features and great scaling. would look right at home in any city! Quote
imvanya Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 (edited) I really like its classic City vibe, even some of the newer parts like that black frame fit right in. And those supports are like a cherry on top Edited November 20, 2014 by imvanya Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 That's a cute and cool fusion of classic town and current city design ideas 'ritztoys'......Brick On ! Quote
King Aragorn Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Very nice model! I like the small back loader! Quote
ritztoys Posted November 21, 2014 Author Posted November 21, 2014 (edited) Guys thanks............. @ GallardoLU, well not really, I'm too busy building to watch TV, and I just build for the kids anyway.........in the beginning I struggled with the proportions. The bucket and dipper where what I scaled this model to, then there were the tires, but it all worked out OK. @ imvanya, I appreciate your complement coming from a great designer as yourself......I forgot to add the operator is sitting on a 2 x 2 turntable, so he can turn around and operate the dipper at the work site. ( needed to use two 'jumper' plates for clearance ) @ lightningtiger, had these ol' parts around for ever, when I saw the ROP cage from another kit, I knew what my layout was missing and got busy @ King Aragorn, I found the dipper bucket in my stash of black pieces, and knew what I had to do Edited November 21, 2014 by ritztoys Quote
ArtGONG Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Very cute! And it is great that it can fit a minifig! Quote

kibosh Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 I really like this build! I think it captures the look and feel of a backhoe perfectly. Quote
