Introduction. [soNE Freebuild] The Story Begins

Chapter 1. [soNE Freebuild] A Fine Delivery

After the cargo had been unloaded and transported inside the cave, the group followed. In the next minutes the remaining boxes were also removed and the only thing left on the platform was the small transport craft. As the platform was emptied, the hidden rock walls opened on the nearby cliff. The place was not as empty and deserted as Wick had thought.

The corridors and caverns were not so long as Wick expected.

The group soon reached one of the inner doors.

- "That's it. We are not allowed to bring you any further now. But it is pretty safe here to talk."

15590510406_0592bb3e1e_q.jpg

- "Safe?! Talk?! Where are you going with that? This is a simple "get cargo, get paid and get off" type of a deal. Unless you want something delivered somewhere, I'd very much like to move to "get paid" part of our previous deal."

15590509366_aba145f324_q.jpg

- "You'll get your payment. Soon."

- "But beforehand we'd like to hear the story about those TIEs you brought with."

- "WhoA&?!? What TIEs"

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

These TIEs.

- "Attention, Rebels! This is an Imperial patrol. Do not try to lift off. The area is secured. Do not try to escape! Any escape attempt will be punished."

15428916300_e2289d0de9_q.jpg

- "Sir! There 's only one small ship.. although can be fast. Isn't it better just to..."

15428916300_e2289d0de9_q.jpg

- "Indeed..."

- "Seems that these're not your friends after all. Sorry for the ship though..."

15428064688_c3d77063de_q.jpg

- "The TIEs, the rebels, my ship!!! What the hell is happening here?!"

15615010032_064cafc968_q.jpg

- "You've been followed. We have to leave now. "

15615010032_064cafc968_q.jpg

- "If you want to stay here - you surely may. But I do not recommend, the place will be filled with imperials in a minutes. You seem to be a reckless but good pilot - otherwise you'd not take this deal in the first place, and there are people who are always in need of reckless and good pilots. Better good then reckless, you know."

15590510406_0592bb3e1e_q.jpg

- "If the Empire already thinks I had been with rebels, it is impossible to convince them I'm not... Get me out of this place."

Here goes the first...

... and the second...

... and leaving.

I wanted to try micro-scale for this build, and it seemed a good way to continue the story. But as I thought about the presentation - only the landscape shots were not enough, so the internal scene had to be done.

I would have the MOC judged.

I really like this, and the way you incorporated the bigger scale build to the small build. The different scenes of the microscale part was really well done :) :classic:

I really like the Rebel ship. Attaching the full scale build to the backside of the micro-scale build might have been cool. Any plans to do the Rebel ship in full scale?

Thank you for the comments.

Yes, there were plans to build a larger version as well, but not yet sure on the scale. The minifig-scaled version would be almost half meter long if we use TIE as reference... a bit too much for me now. So, I am more thinking of 1/2 of minifig-scale - to construct and test the overall shape and appearance.

If you base it on the available engine and windscreen sizes, 1/2 scale sounds about right to get the appropriate proportions. The Ghost might be a good reference.

Very nice micro landshape! It seems really natural, well done!

I agree, the micro-landscape is beautiful; I love the rocks with the snow on top. My favorite shot is the last one, with the ship heading off into the distance. Great work!

You've created an amazing micro, and minifig scale set of builds! I really like your story and your micro ships!

My first question after seeing the minifig scale picture was "I wonder if that door opens" and then in the next picture, it is partially opened! I like the story, I like the microbuilding. That is a tough scale to work in, I'm never good at it. For some reason when I try doing it my brain only sees the part instead of the abstract. I like the various details, the snow, the trees, etc. Even the use of different heads with facial expressions to bring some levity to the scene!
