Here you go. It's pretty simple to make, just a ldraw model of the part and imported into LDview with a designated latitude of 15, and longitude of -15. I thought about making a render, but it looked too complex and convoluted when scaled down to 22px. Edited January 29, 2017 by Tommy Styrvoky
tgrbailey Posted January 29, 2017 Could I be really off the wall and suggest a different element for each status? For someone who is dispraxic borderline dyslexic having a real notable change is much easier to compute!

syclone Posted January 29, 2017 (edited) Are the red gears that necessary? I don't get the system now . Nvmd , got it , but still confusing and the red is too bright How about using old style 16z instead of red?? Edited January 29, 2017 by LXF
Siegfried Meyer Posted January 29, 2017 99+ on the gears looking good and very distinctive differences between them
tgrbailey Posted January 29, 2017 Ok - the gears look good - I can cope with that!
lcvisser Posted January 29, 2017 Is the red gear deliberately put at a different angle than the other two? I must agree that I like the gears

letsbuild Posted January 29, 2017 I really like the new way. It will take a bit of adjusting to, but I'll understand soon.

Imanol BB Posted January 29, 2017 The gears look pretty cool, at first i thought that my brain was starting to fail, hopefully it didn't, i really like how new things are being tested and improved, everything is looking great.
zux Posted January 29, 2017 It is just me then, probably, parts in both DBG ang LBG lookalike pale to me, as there's no high contrast between them. A good example of nice colour differentiation is the "brick" in General discussion section. Not sure the intention to use "Red" for some topics. Red + any of grey would work much better for the case above.

ColletArrow Posted January 29, 2017 I like this pattern - to me, it seems easier to understand than the 1x1 technic liftarms, since all of the colours are easily distinguishable.
legolijntje Posted January 29, 2017 It looks like I have an unpopular opinion, but imo the 16T gears are a little too detailed. And, the 16T gear is also being used for the Technic tag, Technic Pro tag and the bronze, silver and gold Technic medals. I personally think an 8T gear would look better. And, it also official exists in LBG, DBG and red

And, it also official exists in LBG, DBG and red I originally thought about this, though from the angle, they look too square, so that's why I chose the 16z, as there are more teeth/greater differences between the clutch/standard version. I could also suggest 12z bevel in tan, 12z double bevel in grey and in black, If you are looking for more options along the trend of gears. Jim Posted January 30, 2017 9 hours ago, Tommy Styrvoky said: What DPI? There's no such thing as DPI when you ask for a 22 px wide image. It's just that....22 pixels wide (DPI only matters when you are using the I in DPI and since we are not printing it, it's irrelevant) Thanks for the 8z gears. I will create sample icons. In comparison...
Huaojozu Posted January 30, 2017 8z gears suffer from the size compression methinks. I'm looking at them on a 42inch TV at 4K resolution and I can just barely amke out the hole in them. Makes them look more like a star than a gear.
