With all of the turmoil in Noctunus, the members of the other guilds have all been uneasy with what the fallout may be in their own homes. Hearing of massive troop movements throughout Nocturnus, Kha gathered forces of Moonshadows, his elite elven forces and headed to the Rakath mountains near the border with Nocturnus. The thoughts were to ensure the safety of Kaliphlin's citizens. The most likely place that rogue soldiers of The Black Spire or leftovers of The Hand of Corruption would be the Rakath Gap.

So, I have literally built nothing since the Challenge 2 build back in June. I started a couple of projects and just gave up each time. Finally decided today that I needed to build something to get out of my funk, so here is what we get today. Hopefully this will get me back on track with some builds!

I am currently reading A Memory of Light from the Wheel of Time series for the first time and was inspired while reading about Tarwin's Gap. So, if any of you have read that, you may recognize what looks like a Myrdraal or Fade leading the "Trollocs" here.

Also, I would like to claim University of Petraea credits for: Military Science-battle scene, Minifig Posing and Geography Mountains

Thanks for looking!

P.S. I tried to make a 100% purist build and as I was editing photos noticed that my son had stuck one light tan AltBricks weed on the left cliffs. So, just ignore it and pretend this is all purist parts!

Welcome back to building. Really nice little vignette. Loving all the olive; got to get a lot more of that! BTW, I just realized that my MOC posted the other day was my first since last fall, I think! It's good to be back building again. +1 on all claims.

Looks great! I like the rockwork and minifig posing, and that olive green on top of the cliffs gives a nice realistic mossy feel. Awesome.

Nice scene Kayne :) I like the folliage on the rocks, nocturnus look. Funny thing the face you used for the main fig also. :)

I know, I wish I had more of them!

Very nice. A pair of archers atop the walls would really help defend the gap!

I know, my kids kept telling me that, and I kept saying "I know, but that's not the way I pictured the battle in my head, so we are not trying to make sense here!"

Great to see you building again Kayne, it seems like it's been a little while!

This is awesome, I love the pass and the vegatation/coloring up top. The dark red/dark tan/dark brown combo looks awesome and really fits the Nocty atmosphere. The posing of the spearman and Hand forces is great too. I really like those brick-built spears and that standard.

It's good to see the Black Spire does not discriminate in its choice of victims!

You don't need it still, but +1 to all claims. Looks great! I instantly thought of WoT when I saw it, then read what you wrote! haha. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the book as much as we enjoy looking at your builds!
