Bob De Quatre Posted October 2, 2014 Author Posted October 2, 2014 Hi there. What about entries with minifigures inside exo-suit? The rules says: "Entries must consist of only an Exo Suit." Disqualification?? The rules also states that entries must fit a minifigure Quote
SERVATOR Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 (edited) OK but that was the other Rule..... I assume that Rule of presenting foto of the exo-suit without minifigure wasn't waste/trash? Now we have some entries which didn't fulfilled both Rules (as they should). Edited October 2, 2014 by SERVATOR Quote
Kristof Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 OK but that was the other Rule..... I assume that Rule of presenting foto of the exo-suit without minifigure wasn't waste/trash? Now we have some entries which didn't fulfilled both Rules (as they should). Hello SERVATOR, well let me ask you a question: What are you trying to achieve? Do you want most of the entries to be disqualified? I'm trying to figure out why would you do that... I believe that the rule saying 'the entry must consist of an Exo Suit' was to prevent people building whole sceneries or some other big object to boost the visual appearence. Including minifigure is pretty much minor detail and by the way, the easiest way to prove that your exo-suit is capable to fit minifigure is to place it in there. I wouldn't say that it is the rule violation. And even if it was not 100% correct, we are not in court are we? Quote
SERVATOR Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 @krisandkris12 My intention is to show that sometimes it is good to set apropriate rules instead of writing "anything" and finally say that in fact it is not important. In my opinion all those persons who satisfy all rules should finally get extra points (handicap). Problem is because sometimes minifigure is crucial for perfect presentation of exo-suit and using minifigure gives a handicap for those who broke the rule. Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted October 2, 2014 Author Posted October 2, 2014 If you wanted some clarifications on the rules, you should have asked during the contest. There won't be any disqualification or handicap at this point of the contest. Quote
SERVATOR Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 It was't about "clarifications" on the rules. For me the rules are clear. It was "just" about respecting the rules. Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted October 3, 2014 Author Posted October 3, 2014 I think you misunderstood the rules. Entries must consist of only an Exo Suit. This rule is here to prevent people from posting an Exo Suit inside a gigantic hangar or things like this. The contest is focused on the Exo Suit itself. Entries must fit a minifig, after all they still are Exo Suits. This rule only says that entries must have the hability to put a minifig inside the Exo Suit. No one complained about the rules during the contest or after the deadline when I gave some more time for participant to check their digital entries. Therefore there will be no disqualification or handicap. On a side note, participant like kobalt1977 (I'm sure you know why I mention him) could have posted his entries with a minifigure, or the sword for his Wolf entry, and it would have been accepted. He made a choice and didn't complained about the rules. End of the discussion. Quote
SERVATOR Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 In Poland, in such case we says "don't turn the cat by the tail" ;) For me the rule "only exo-suit" means ONLY exo-suit. It's obvious! Ok. Let's finish this discussion. It's Your contest. Rethink my arguments and take them into consideration for the future. Quote
Sebeus I Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 This contest was pretty awesome, thanks for organizing Bob . Quote
