I liked the concept behind the old Joker's Ice Cream Surprise set, so I decided to modify the much-beloved Ice Cream Machine set's civilian model to improve on the concept. (Apologies for the photos, I don't have anything that would make a proper studio at the moment.)

I removed all of the pink pieces and replaced them (and a few white pieces) with lime and purple. The Octan logo stickers were removed, but the rest were kept. I put the tubes on the sides for no good reason, and the cone's attatchment is quite different, in fact, it's attatched the same way as the weapon on the Bulk Drill Machine! Now I wonder what that could mean...

The side view to show the opposite colors of the wheel rims and the different hose used.

truckback.jpg

The back view, with purple slopes, and the back of the chassis. The awkward geometry of the pink train piece was a challenge to replace with bricks, but I managed fairly well. Some green canisters provide a speed boost for the truck.

Here's a random pic of the first stage of development, when I just started with switching out colors.

truckfront.jpg

The front of the truck. Who's the driver?

truckdriver.jpg

Harley enjoys driving the truck, when she's not smashing things with a mallet.

truckinterior.jpg

The interior of the truck. The hoses on the sides match the ice cream tanks's colors.

The ice cream cone rotates forward, and the beams holding it move as well, giving it good poseability, and different imaginable functions. I moved the speakers back to allow to cone to come down completely when in its normal mascot appearance.

truckacid.jpg

The cone can become an acid gun!

truckdrill.jpg

A drill! (And I removed the gear, so, wobbly as it may be, it does turn now).

truckbooster.jpg

A rocket booster! (This was a fun idea that I came up with after completing it and fooling around with the poses).

"Would you like some ice cream?"

truckcustomer.jpg

"Another smiling customer! HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

What do you think? I'm actually quite proud of how it turned out, after having it start out as just a palette swap of the original, inspiration took it a little further, after a few revisions. (pardon the image attachment, that was a mistake)

Oh, great. Brickshelf is spotty, and taking my images with it. Sorry about that. When it's back up and stays up, I'll try to fix it.

Very imaginative. I love it :sweet:

Thank you!

EDIT; Photos automatically back up, while Brickshelf is still working

Thank you! I thought the two hoses already in the set would add character. I wish the stupid image site would work consistently, though. I really do apologize about that.

You're not the only one. The image hosting site I use has problems, and whenever it goes down, the photos break with it.

EDIT: I accidentally deleted several of the pictures, which I have reuploaded.
