steph77 Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 (edited) Hi everyone! Here is my latest moc : an ampliroll truck. It features - 4 axles - 2 front axles are directionals with differents angles, - V6 fake engine connected via 24T/8T on rear axle (1) - Opening elements on the cab - Liftable cab - PFS M motor for lifting the container The particular point is in the opposite mecanical actuators working in 2 differents directions to increase the angle of the boom. All of that is in the video: Enjoy! Edited August 20, 2014 by steph77 Quote
gti180 Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 the way the actuators work in together is genius Quote
Cumulonimbus Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Yes, I agree, that is a clever mechanism. Does it also allow to tilt the container for dumping, without it touching the ground? Quote
PhyBuilder Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 This is a 42024 2.0. Great optics, great technic. By the way, this car screams for Quote
miguev Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Cool! I love the way you combined the LAs in the boom. Quote
Lakop Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Great truck! Love your mechanism, I think that would be a great set. H Quote
Balrog Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 (edited) I like the mechanism a lot, well done. Just a question: Isn't this stressing the LA's a lot when operating it with load? edit: Forget the question. I just watched the video again and saw that the two red 3x5 L-beams are mounted on the chassis. Edited August 20, 2014 by Balrog Quote
Hypo Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 That's awesome! I tried so often to make a smooth ampliroll function and you did it now! But i've got one question: What is the maximum weight you can lift with this mechanism? i always tried to build a mechanism, which lifts 1.2 kg, but i failed. With kind regards, Heiko Quote
timslegos Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Very interesting technic used here with the two actuators, micework. Tim Quote
jorgeopesi Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I agree with the linear actuators technic very clever a nice form to move the pivot point. Quote
Doc_Brown Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Awesome mechanism for lifting! Great moc, looks like a ton of fun to play with. Quote
steph77 Posted August 21, 2014 Author Posted August 21, 2014 Thanks for all those good returns on my Moc! To answer the questions: Yes, it is possible to tilt the container enough for make it empty (when opening the backdors) but no specify mechanism for it The maximum wheight liftable is 840 gr, included container @phybuilder, i know the pièces 'pin 3L' in black. I have a few of them. But they are not produced anymore ad i try working based on today possibilities Regards Steph. Quote
jantjeuh Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Great job! It's like 42024's bigger brother. Quote
Jeroen Ottens Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Fantastic MOC, I could imagine TLG producing it. Very clean build, very clever mechanism... HoF IMHO Quote
Kumbbl Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Fantastic MOC, I could imagine TLG producing it. Very clean build, very clever mechanism... HoF IMHO i would second this Quote
