I've been playing a lot of Fallout lately, and it inspired me to build this street scene.

The building is a shop. It was fun making this because I got to use lots of old, discoloured bricks because it helped make the build feel more post-apocalyptic.

A lot of wasteland fauna grows outside the shop while a beggar injects himself with some psycho.

Interiors aren't my strong suit, which is easy to see here. The only furniture is a counter and a table showcasing some frag mines, a sniper and a Caesar's legion helmet.

Like before, this interior is also Spartan. There's a table with vodka, a bed and a gun next to it. In the capital wasteland it's always wise to have a gun on hand.

Blankets and sheets must have been destroyed in the apocalypse because I can't recall seeing a bed with them in Fallout 3.

The owner of the shop has hired a merc to help protect the building from raiders, supermutants, feral ghouls and every other danger in post-apocalyptic D.C.

What do the olive green cheeses in the curb represent?

I started reading this thread by looking at the first picture. I had a bunch of threads queued in tabs and hadn't noticed the title. The first thing that I noticed was a cheese in the curb. I started to look at the rest of it for an explanation. The front of building's ground level is done very, very well. I noticed that next and it started to clue me in. The needle in the arm made it all click.

But I am still wondering about those curb cheeses (in a good way).

I thought so but I didn't want to speculate. I also really like cheeses, especially in that color.

This is a great build. Every element has a purpose and tells part of the story.

Hey, I'm a Fallout fan myself! :classic:

As for the MOC, it could definitely be better. The building should be one single color, mostly the dark gray, to give it an old and run-down feel. Also, don't be afraid to use cheese slopes of the same building color to make parts where parts of the building fell out. A perfect example of a Fallout MOC I can show you is this. Notice how the buildings, street, and environment are? Lots of gray, brown, and tan are good with Fallout MOC's. You're on the right track but look at other references for particular details in you need to.

It's a whole lot better, yes. Also, don't be afraid to add cracks in the street (if you can) along with bricks falling out of the building. Also, rebar effects in the building can be quite nice as well. And for next time, hide the brown plate for both floors. Overall, it's not bad.

I plan on making some Post-Apocalyptic style MOC's some time next month based of Fallout and some of my own Post-Apocalyptic theme as well.
