TomKraut Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I'm not trying, but my backlog is HUGE! There must be about 50 unopened boxes, but I have no intention to build them all (especially because many of them are duplicates). I usually buy sets for parts or minifigures / -dolls, but I often build the set, just to immediately 'flag' it for disassembly and sorting. I enjoy building the sets from instructions, it's really relaxing because there usually isn't much effort involved, so it's nice to always have something ready to build. But I have no intention of displaying them (exceptions would be the Haunted House, which is sitting on a shelf, or Modulars, but I don't have any of those). Quote
Laphroag Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Like some others I don't really try to have a backlog. But I do have two sets at the moment and for some reason it is very nice to know they're at my disposal at any time. Quote
CrazyDalton777 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I have got about 8 small CITY and Creator sets in my backlog... oh and Grand Emporium and Pet Shop. I haven't had much time recently to build anything, been making some brickfilms, will be making a series of videos with my Modulars SO I should build them. Quote
TWO2SEVEN Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 If anyone has too many sets that they don't have time to build I am happy to take them off of your hands :) Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 A few but not as many as I wouldl like. Usually the bigger sets of a series are left unbuilt due to space limitations and not having room to display them that makes them sit around unbuilt. Quote
The geeky kind Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 29 still in their boxes... But I am working hard on the them... I love collecting different series, but I think I am now going to turn my hand to Moc's ... And just collect certain sets like bag end & the tower of Orthanc... Quote
Slobey Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 I don't try but this is my current backlog mainly due to A) not enough spare time B) spare time spent building MOCs C) all my display space taken up by said MOCs. Backlog by slobey79, on Flickr Quote
LegoGuyK Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Most of the time. At the moment I have 30 piled up in front of a cupboard in my house! Sure I've had more than that though... Quote
paul_delahaye Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I reckon there is always 2 - 3 in backlog, but I can always find an old polybag or something small if I look hard. Currently I have a city train, arctic icebreaker and the Technic loader and Technic hauler in the backlog. Quote
talos Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I have about 30 piled up too, mostly under a side table to my PC workstation desk, no legroom, because they are piled up, I can't get an accurate number! I better fix that. I have run low on display space too. I am not sure how long my Winter Village Christmas display can take over the dining table! Quote
fred67 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Yeah, I'll add that I don't know how many I have... they simply make them faster than I have time or space to build them, but I don't want to miss some of them, so the backlog gets bigger and bigger. Some day I'll have room and build LEGO 16x7 (I have to eat and sleep!) for weeks. Quote
