CastleDefender Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 Whoah, those things are serious. Looks cool! Thanks. I have always admired the legionaires. Have delayed tis for very long. Will create the Roman Cornu troopers next. Quote
Macsen Wledig Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Very nice, I look forward to seeing what you do with your Cornu. If you're interested I have created my own Roman standard bearers and cornu. See this photo. Mine are much less ornate than yours though. You look like you have a substantial Roman Army there - it would be good to see photos of it once your done making all your custom pieces. Quote
tedbeard Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 (edited) Wow, CastleDefender, your signifers must be body building champions. If you're interested I have created my own Roman standard bearers and cornu. See this photo. Mine are much less ornate than yours though. Yours are nice. I don't recognize the element you used for your eagle. I think I win in the "least ornate" department : Gotta get myself a Brick Warriors cornu. Edited August 14, 2014 by tedbeard Quote
Macsen Wledig Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Yours are nice. I don't recognize the element you used for your eagle. Hey tedbeard, the eagle is this piece sprayed with gold acrylic paint. It's attached to the cone with one of these also sprayed gold. This might be considered cheating a bit, but I feel it's an elegant solution. Quote

There used to be a guy doing that on BL or something... Quote

Yes, I believe the store 'Chrome Bricks' does it. They're based in Germany. I did email them way back, but they never got back to me, which is why I took things into my own hands. Of course, it was probably a lot cheaper to do it myslef too! Quote
pogie Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 I am a huge fan of anything Roman with Lego. I think the scale is just too far off with these. That is an impressive army though! Quote
Gunman Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Wow you have many minifigs there and definitely some nice banners also. Well done mate.. Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 They look heavy! The details are nice. Quote
