Following on from my mini building review of set 42006 B model farm tractor (http://paulstechnic.blogspot.com.au/2014/08/lego-technic-set-42006-b-model-mini.html) where I noted that I was not very happy with the rear plough attachment, I have spent about three hours over the past two nights designing and building a new rear attachment, this is a log grabber.

This uses the same mounting points as the original plough attachment, it also uses only the spare parts left over after pulling the plough to pieces, I did have to cheat and use a mini-LA as the full size one was just too big.

Overall I am very happy with how this has turned out and I think it is a big improvement on the standard plough attachment. More photos and a video can be found on my blog:

Paul you mod is a good one, after looking quickly on the net at real tracked skidders I would change the rear arm.

Use the smaller LA for the second part of the arm and would just use 16 tooth gears for the claw.
