How do you store your LEGO pieces?

Hello everyone, firstly I would like to apologise if this type of question has already been asked or is being discussed already. But anyway, I am struggling to find a way to store all of my pieces in an organised and fairly cheap way, without just chucking all of the bits in a box together. Could anyone help me out by either suggesting ways to store, or showing me pictures of their storage, and what format pieces are separated in. Thanks!
