eurotrash Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 I'm not sure what LFC are thinking of. They've had to sell Suarez and now they're signing another a talented, but deeply flawed player. This isn't going to end well, but at least we've all got front row seats to the train wreck. Madness! Quote
Macsen Wledig Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 I don't know, 16m could be a good deal; he is a reliable goal scorer after all. Rogers is a good manager and I reckon if anyone can get the best out of him then Rogers can. Balloteli is 24 now (I think...) and so now he really has to do something positive if he's going to have a successful long term career. Whatever happens, I have no doubt it'll be entertaining! Quote
eurotrash Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Spurs top of the table? What next Pestilence, War, Famine? This isn't going to end well. Quote
Captain Settle Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Seamus Coleman scored, but I accidentally put him on my subs bench. Had I put him in the team, I might not be bottom. Quote
Off the wall Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Did you see Balotelli sitting in the rain today and probably thinking '.....dear god, what have I done?' Quote
eurotrash Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Did you see Balotelli sitting in the rain today and probably thinking '.....dear god, what have I done?' Liverpool have spent $190 million in the offseason on transfers. It's a shame they didn't think of defense when they built the team. Exciting going forward, but dear God they're going to ship a lot of goals (again).... Quote
Macsen Wledig Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Did you see Balotelli sitting in the rain today and probably thinking '.....dear god, what have I done?' That's exactly what I was thinking! I don't think it looked good that he left early either. I think Rodgers is going to have his work cut out with him! Quote
SMC Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 I would have been happy to see him at arsenal at that price Quote
Captain Settle Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I would have been happy to see him at arsenal at that price Arsenal will have to buy a new striker now anyway, as Giroud is injured. Quote
SMC Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 well we needed one before that if you ask me but who knows Quote
Off the wall Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 When all is said and done, Balotelli may not be the bargain that he seems to be. We should start a 'pool' and guess the date when Liverpool has to explain something he did or said. Quote

We should start a 'pool' and guess the date when Liverpool has to explain something he did or said. My money is on Liverpool playing Barcelona in the later stages of the European Cup and Suarez biting Balotelli who then removes his shirt to reveal another shirt with "Why Always Me?" emblazoned on it.... The most unlikely thing to happen from that story is Liverpool reaching the later stages of the Champions League. Quote
SMC Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 my local team MK Dons 4 Man U 0 and as an arsenal fan you got to love it Quote
Off the wall Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 First of all, when you try to talk about real football in America, you have to call it 'soccer'. Second of all, when I bring up 'soccer' just about everyone says they are a Manchester United Fan. Why? That's the only real football team that they've ever heard of. The only thing worse is when I'm talking football with a real fan and someone comes up and starts talking about how their eight year old daughter plays soccer. So, anytime Man U loses....... its a good thing. If they played ISIL, I'd cheer for ISIL. Quote

Off the wall Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Somewhere David Moyes is quietly chuckling to himself... Along with 99% of all football fans. Quote
Captain Settle Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 And Di Maria is desperately trying to get out of his transfer. Quote
Palathadric Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 My money is on Liverpool playing Barcelona in the later stages of the European Cup and Suarez biting Balotelli who then removes his shirt to reveal another shirt with "Why Always Me?" emblazoned on it.... But seriously, Balotelli is more likely to take Suarez for a ride with his mafiosi friends...or shoot fireworks into his house. MK Dons 4 Man U 0 There is time when even I stop revelling in their demise and start going Arsenal will have to buy a new striker now anyway, as Giroud is injured. Gomez would be a good fit for Arsenal. His injury-record matches Arsenal's and I would imagine they could get him fairly cheap too. Seriously, though, I wouldn't mind seeing him go to North London. Quote
Macsen Wledig Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Balotelli's going for £10.0 on FFL at the moment, which seems a bit high to me given that more reliable strikers are priced at only a little more than him, and sometimes a little less. I don't think he'll be a transfer target of mine anytime soon... Quote
SMC Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 ^ agreed Di Maria at 9.5 looks better if only he played for a good side Quote
Captain Settle Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 ^ agreed Di Maria at 9.5 looks better if only he played for a good side Wow, Di Maria for 9.5 is great, but I can't get him as having him would mean I'd have to want Man U to score. Quote
SMC Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 lol the whole of Manchester. This game week is good so far. Quote
Off the wall Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I'm watching my third match of the day. Rough start for Everton, to say the least. My Saturday consists of a vente coffee mocha and a scone at 7am at Starbucks, home by 730am and then three matches. Done by about 230, hit the outdoor spa with a beer and then out for dinner. Ah, football season. What a wonderful time! Quote
