Andy D Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 It seems that there should be an official LEGO Designer's video for the Santa's Workshop. Maybe I just missed it, maybe I just forgot about it, maybe I'm having a senior moment. Who knows, but if there was (is) an official video will someone be kind enough to point me to it? Thanks, Andy D
CM4Sci Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 ... I don't believe official images are out yet, all we have is the one I posted months back. I'm pretty sure we have an official thread for the set, maybe ask there? I'm not sure they've announced it. -Sci
JopieK Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 it seems LEGO designers are visiting Eurobricks too often ;) http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=89264 And even a better one at flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/28901644@N05/11211291953/in/gallery-akunthita-72157627713023124/

I am pretty sure it has not been released yet.
JopieK Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 you are totally right on both remarks, we will just have to wait!
lightningtiger Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 You mean this set...... I thought this would have been merged with the winter sets topic ?
Andy D Posted August 3, 2014 Author Posted August 3, 2014 You mean this set...... I thought this would have been merged with the winter sets topic ? Yep! That's the one. I always look forward to the designer's videos. Guess I'm just too early for this one. Andy D
TheLegGodt Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 The official press release and designer video is now available. Brickset.com has it on their website. Here is the link: http://brickset.com/article/11995/santa-s-workshop-unveiled-at-bricks-by-the-bay Shouldn't a mod post thiss on the frontpage? On a side note, i was surprised to see Marcus (I think that's his name, the designer of the Arkam Asylum) design this one. I didn't think he worked on Creator stuff but more on licensed stuff. Looks like a great set, definetely day 1 stuff and I am in the camp of people appreciating the brick built reindeers!
BrickG Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 I'd consider it but the reindeer are disappointing and inconsistent. They need unique molds like most other animals at this point. :/
alois Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 I'd consider it but the reindeer are disappointing and inconsistent. They need unique molds like most other animals at this point. :/ No, they don't, this is Lego, not Playmobil.
Colossus Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 No, they don't, this is Lego, not Playmobil. Hahaha! Damn, that's funny! Because it's true. I don't like some brick built animals, but I love these reindeer.
vernon Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 I think Marcos has done another excellent job. The set is totally awesome and I have no complaint at all.
JasperL Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 I know not all of you agree, but +1 on the brick built reindeer
Pandora Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Please continue your discussions in the Santa's Workshop thread, thanks.
