the lego dwarf Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 (edited) Here is a build I am working on at the minute hopefully I can get it done soon C+C Welcome Edited August 17, 2014 by the lego dwarf Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Nice start. Maybe use some tiles to smooth the floor, and not have the elevation changes? Quote
Maxim I Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Like Vladivus says, try to evade elevations changes. Drunk people always stumble thanks to unseen elevation changes :D Quote
mccoyed Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 I think you can do better. I really have to stress once again that you should take a look at all the history of GoH and try to learn from some of the techniques our resident builders have used and designed over the years. Quote
the lego dwarf Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 Here is a bit more I have done Quote
mccoyed Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 There's more going on now, but I still think you're not applying a lot of effort to the flooring, walls, etc. Is your Lego collection fairly limited or? Quote

I agree. If you have a limited collection, you should consider buying more sets or buying parts from BrickLink. Quote
the lego dwarf Posted August 22, 2014 Author Posted August 22, 2014 I agree. If you have a limited collection, you should consider buying more sets or buying parts from BrickLink. It's not as big as I would like my collection to be and I have had some other stuff to spend my money on. Quote
the lego dwarf Posted September 7, 2014 Author Posted September 7, 2014 Bit more today I will start posting on this more often. Outside the market. It's nearly completed, just a few more things needed to be done. Quote
Gunman Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Nice one there dude. I would advice you to start building with less colors mixed at the floor or whatever part of the moc. (in case your collection allows it) And it will start looking better. If your collection is too limited better build smaller and with more details rather than puting different plates at floor to make the terrain bigger and not be able to(not having) small plates to texture the ground. It doesnt look beautiful. Better small terrain and textured rather than plain big terrain. Quote

I also see that you have lots of 1x4 reddish brown tiles, which is a very good sign. I'd recommend using those for the flooring of vignettes and use one color, preferably black or a shade of gray for the walls, and furnishings. So make a vignette if you can, they come out great and can be perfected even with a decently small LEGO collection. Quote
the lego dwarf Posted September 8, 2014 Author Posted September 8, 2014 I got a whole pick a brick cup of small parts that I would need. Quote
