aps27 Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Recently started and this is my first attempt at a MOC. Quite a learning experience and now have some more ideas and plans for future builds. Though thanks has to go to Derfel Cadarn's in-depth guide, which granted some pointers and insight - http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=60907 Any advise or constructive criticism would be much appreciated More photos at http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=546342 Quote
JopieK Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Very nice MOC indeed! Welcome to Eurobricks b.t.w., good first start ;) Quote
Scaevola Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Nice start. The texture variances and shield on the tower are good, as is the minifig posing. On another note, a larger tree would be more realistic in scale, and some more tiles for the water. The landscape isn't bad, but omitting the black from it, including more foliage, and using slopes on the rock would help enhance it. Overall nice moc Quote

Simon_S Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Welcome to Eurobricks! That looks quite good for a first build. As advice, I think you should reduce the black border to a minimum. Of course, if there are other colours in the rock and under the foilage, then you'll need it, but keep the border as small as possible. I also suggest adding some leaves on the tree and use more foilage on the ground, this will improve it a lot. Quote
