michaelozzie Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Hi everyone its been a long while since I last posted a MOC in the pirates forum. Anyhow here's a look at a project that Im working on now. I had finished the main fort part a few months ago but got a bit distracted by other projects so its good to get more work done on this. Sorry about the picture quality but will take better ones when all is complete. The front bastion with drawbridge and glacis are my latest additions. Next will be the coastline behind. Quote
ManInATopHat Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 (edited) Very nice, I like your custom soldiers. The fort itself a very nice shape and overall design, good detailing. Edited July 31, 2014 by ManInATopHat Quote
Captain Hannibal Joost Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 I follow you on FlickR to see here all this "parts" of fort are going, and I never thought of something like this :) great job Mickael ! I can not wait to see the sea side of the bastion :) Quote
Sebeus I Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Nicely done, I like the channel around it, together with the landscape the fort stands out, great angles . Quote
michaelozzie Posted August 1, 2014 Author Posted August 1, 2014 Thanks guys. Yeah Sebeus the angles were one of the main features I wanted to capture, giving it that Vauban influence. Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 The bastion is so well layed out that it is easy to overlook the excellent work performed to create the custom soldiers. Napoleon's infantry has arrived! They are excellent! How did you do the hats/helmets? Quote
michaelozzie Posted August 2, 2014 Author Posted August 2, 2014 Here's a close up of the soldiers uniforms. The shakos are from woody64's shapeways storewhich I have painted and also made the chinstraps too. Guard duty by michaelozzie1, on Flickr Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Yeah, woody64 ... that's where I got my shakos (that's the word) for my Royal Horse Artillery from: Chinstraps are one step further - excellent work! The "bastion" is well-designed, by the way, in terms of overall layout. Any pictures of the interior? Quote
michaelozzie Posted August 3, 2014 Author Posted August 3, 2014 Any pictures of the interior? The sections all lift away modular style to reveal the interior. I will post some pictures in next update Quote
Yzalirk Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Beautiful WIP and I like the soldiers a lot! Quote
