Adeel Zubair Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Hi I'm Adeel Zubair you can call me Adeel, I'm from London, UK. I'm an inspiring and determined to become a designer at LEGO in the future. I truly believe my fascination for product design began as a child. My parents would buy me LEGO sets, rather than play with them I would spend time analysing them for unique details, different functions and the potential for the application of innovative building techniques. Productivity and innovative are qualities that I try to empathise in my work; I discovered that I am good at taking an idea through to the finished article. I am very determined when making a model and I am able to be very precise; I positively enjoy the care and detail involved in the measuring and assembling required to make them within the time available. I am open to new ideas; enjoy taking risks and attempting new challenges. I am willing to involve myself collaboratively in groups and within different disciplines and practices involving product design. I'm passionate about LEGO because it's an art medium where you have geometric shapes and you’re forced to think of the bricks in a playful way to build a creation, whether it is a house or a spaceship using the bricks in a fun and inventing way. In recent years AFOLs have taken the medium in another level of extreme where they’re building realistic everyday objects such as a pencil or even Christmas tree ornaments. LEGO has even got inspired by these realistic creations making them release an Architecture line with miniature detailed models of famous landmarks or large scale models of a Volkswagen Camper Van or a Mini Cooper. LEGO as a brand has become so versatile; they have a theme or set for everyone where as in the early years of Lego you only had the generic bricks. The quality of the plastic, colour and printing is above other building toy brands. They give us freebies when we spend a minimum amount every month and replace any broken or lost pieces to ensure the enjoyment of you play is not affected. Not often company's hire people on the spot where as Lego have really deep thoughts about their customers and fans that they have hired many talented fans at Lego events where there creations are displayed for the general public. I hope have an enjoying time on Eurobricks with you guys.
