Boonetrooper Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 *Fan fare of trumpets* "This... Is EBN." Boone:"Hello, my name is boone, here with my Co-host Snefro. Good to see you Sne." Sne:"Good to be here Bob. Let me just address an issue before we begin: on our first episode, there was a bit of confusion as to what this program is." Boone:"Yes. This is a news program designed to bring you World and Lego news, reports, weather, and sports. Let's get this show on the road with the lego news." Lego News B:"As some of you may know, Several of the Golden C-3POs have shown up on E-Bay, the last one going for a whopping 250 bucks. Fans are worried what the Solid gold Threepeeos are gonna go for: "Could you imagine what the 5 gold-plated ones would go for? $3000US" ~Starwars4J You can find both Sealed and open C-3POs on E-bay." Sne:"Pictures of new X-Pod creator sets have surfaced thanks to LegoMilk, five to be exact. Early Box Art shows a Shark, a Lion, a Jet, a Backhoe, and a Cement Mixer. Although they look official, Some speculate that they're the Japenese food Promos, that included Boba fett's Slave one and an X-wing from a few years back." Boone:"I have my eye on the Shark. A Watermark of lego with an Indiana Jones Logo has showed up, with news about lego releasing an Indy line for the Forth movie. In the Field is first time reporter The Kid. TK, What is the Forum's reaction to this news?" (You're on TK) Quote
The Kid Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Hi Kent (er, Boone). As I'm sure you're all aware, Indiana Jones is indeed making a comeback. With LucasFilm directing, it seems LEGO has picked up on the license - perhaps at a small reduction due to their Star Wars license they already have? That's what our members have been asking over in the "Indy Lego?" topic in the LEGO Theater forum. "however, maybe the SW license has put lucas and LEGO into a good partnership that they are looking to expand on" - Brick Miner Thoughts on this matter were mixed. Some have embraced the new line with open-armed warmness, while others want a return of the Adventurers and good old Johnny Thunder. "This would be totally stupid. We need Johnny Thunder back, not the "lame action movie star du jour" license. I sure hope this is false." - gylman "I hope this is true! There's a lot of potential in this." - bonaparte Others have mixed feelings. "Well this sounds like something that could definitely be very promising if it's true. For the moment I'm not holding my breath, but I'm not ruling it out as a possibility" - Starwars4J People are also pondering whether we would now get Nazi minifigures. In this reporter's opinion: No. Perhaps regular army dudes? It's a possibility. One thing we all want to know, though, is Is This Real? More as we get it. Back to you, Ken- um, Boone. TK Quote
gylman Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 This is an outrage! I was quoted out of context! I love Indiana Jones! Who are these so called "adventurers?". What I said, I believe, was that it was incredibly stupid that Lego had not thought of doing any Indian Jones movies in the past, and no lame "Adventurer" character could compare to the one and only Harrison Ford! I have proof of what I said. http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...t=0#entry160356 Where did you people go to journalism school? ..... <looks up his lawyer in the phonebook> ;-) :-P Kidding. Good newscast, BTW Quote
Boonetrooper Posted June 8, 2007 Author Posted June 8, 2007 B:"Thank you for that report. Be sure to get your qoutes right. Let's move on to World News." World News B:"The Shuttle Atlantis is poised for launch tonight at 7:38 Pm. It's mission is to continue construction of the International Space Station. The Fuel tank was topped off, and no glitches are in sight, says NASA scientists. There were many Obstacles, such as a work-place Murder/suicide, and a freak hailstorm at the Launch pad, but NASA's as optimistic as ever: Quote
