Lord Magnus found himself wandering the outskirts when he found the ruin.He noticed that a man in red warpaint was about to sacrifice the man that Magnus was after.

"I can't let you kill that man my friend him and I have some important business."

The man put his sword away from the man on the table and then replied to Magnus "Are you telling me you have business with a seer, are you mad?"

"They don't call me lord of the seers for nothing."

With that the man asked Magnus if he could join him on his travells and as Magnus was heading back to Nocturnus to meet and old foe of his he accepted the man into the group.

This is my first topic on Eurobricks and my first build as well. I will improve on mocs and photos as well so expect more from me soon

This is a good start. I like the skeleton horse detail and the figs. However, the ruin's texture is very flat and clean, and therefore does not convey the sense of a ruin. Also, a more varied landscape would enhance the moc, as opposed to a flat green plate.

Nice start! I do like the skeleton horse. The ruins might be enhanced by use of more bricks, rather than the panels- at the moment it's a bit bland. Try some masonry and log bricks to start, and build on that from there. Landscape wise, some extra plates to vary the relief of the ground, and some foliage. Perhaps some skulls and other bones to convey the use of the area as a sacrificial altar? Hope that gives you a few ideas, looking forward to seeing more builds!

Nice Build, like the others said could a bit more detailing. And also making the background white will make it look more professional and better in general.

Nice 1st moc my friend. Friendly tip from me shoot outdoors (not with straight light/cloudy day) without flash. Welcome to GoH!

Not a terrible start but all MOCers have started out like this, I can't wait to see what else you create. Also, if you use a baseplate, try to take advantage of all the space.

Interesting idea! Good begin as well.

As you build in a green landscape, the vegetation will be an important part of your moc. Don't forget that :)

As a newcomer recently myself, my main advice would be to take the time to look through as much of GoH and any fantasy flickr accounts/groups you can find. Absorb the way others build things, especially techniques that are used a lot as they tend to win out over stuff that doesn't work so well. Experiment with everything, SNOT especially, as you go.

I'm only a half dozen builds or so into my GoH career and I've gotten much better so it seems like your attitude is starting off perfect. I think it's vital, and not always the first thing people think to recommend, to really study the 60+ pages of builds in this forum. I did that before I even made an account. :P

When you start with the oldest ones, you can even see every GoH-member evolving :D
