Once again I have dumb question this time about the tech. Tree system. I understand what is for but how do know where as a corporation we stand. Also I have been working on an engineering bay, would this count a step forward on the tree. Sorry again, just trying to understand.

Cheers

J.s Smith.

I'm sort of asking the same question as Jody. In the tech tree rules page it states:

To research a technology, the CEO of a corporation has to post which technology he wants to research in it's corporation discussion thread, and one of the corporation's members has to do a build representing that technology.

Am I right in thinking that the build showing the tech scores resources and domination points as usual, or not?

Similarly, do the challenge builds score resources and domination points as usual (except on a scale of 1 to 10, not 1 to 7), in addition to the prizes stated in the challenge thread?

Thanks for clearing that up...

I have a few questions also:

1. Can the reward for gaining control of a planet only be gained once, or if a faction loses control of a planet, and then retakes the planet, would they get the planetary control reward a second time?

2. If a faction loses control of a planet in the same week that they would dominate another planet, and they need the planet they lose control of to build on the second planet, (for example, if this week Octan dominated G08 but lost G07) what would happen? Would the faction simply gain one planet and lose the other as usual?

I added some precision to the rules regarding the tech tree and how to progress in it. A corporation must choose a technology to research and a member of the corporation must do a build related to that technology. That build won't be scored and you'll gain nothing for it. When it is posted, the corporation will learn the corresponding technology and loose resources according to its cost. On the website, the technologies learned by a corporation will appear in its color.

I have a few questions also:

2. 1- Reward can be gained multiple times. You gain control of a planet when you have 30 domination points more than the other corps, but if at some time you go under 30, you won't lose control on the planet. Loosing control on a planet means that another corp took control of it.

2- The corp will lose control on a planet and gain control of another. But keep in mind that losing conrtol on a planet won't happens quickly or magicaly

but if at some time you go under 30, you won't lose control on the planet. Loosing control on a planet means that another corp took control of it.

So an alien build or later personal equipement like "Art of space war" won't make the company lose control if they already have goten 30? Good to know.

This seems like a welcome change from building vikings and knights in GoH, can I join up?

So if we wanted to gain the same reward from a planet twice we might want to make a deal with another corporation to trade the planet back and forth between us for domination each week, gaining the bonus from the material over and over again? :look::devil:

That's not necessary. “Reward on control” is given to the controlling company every week. (at least that's how I thought it worked)

Therefor it's better to focus on a few planets at a time as they will then generate resources by itself after getting 30 domination (more than the second highest corporation).

Glad to see MANTIS getting an influx of members! We've got to all have an even playing field to start, or else it wouldn't be fair. Kawashita takes down its enemies with honor - we win because of quality, not quantity. :sweet:

I'd told myself I'd never work for M.A.N.T.I.S. again, not after the incident on LV426.

Hehehehehehe

BTW Octan is Weyland Corp. Kawashita is Yutani, and Mantis is the space marines. I figured it out!
