peter_m Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) Thank you very much for the link Kez! Great pictures - but lack of steering in set of this size is unforgivable and makes me say no to this one. My fiancee will be happy (until she'll find out that I have bought 2 modulars instead ;) ) Also - stickers in $199+ ($275 in Polish S@H) set? Nope nope nope... Edited August 7, 2014 by peter_m Quote
Player Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Wow looking good. Nice pics, and the car is really huge compared to the mini figures. But it's a lot of money for "a black box on wheels", € 220 here. Quote
Ceroknight Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 The build looks intense! I still want to see one more review, but I think this set is worth it! Shame about the stickers though.. Quote
TheBrickHitHouse Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Looks fantastic - but - the front wheels are too big and too wide. Odd that it's the new parts that lego got wrong!! Quote
Cammo Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I really like it but I hat the fact that such a set has stickers, especially the information plaque :/ Still a buy for me though. Quote
SMC Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) review was great even if I cant read it . After seeing it: 1. did they get the logo wrong on the batman fig (edit: no just showed wrong film suit in review) 2. too much Technic? 3. a lot of pins, what would the piece count be without them 4. not any real features 5. costs a little too much Edited August 7, 2014 by SMC Quote
TheLegoDr Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 It looks great. The figures look great. But I don't like the price for a big black box like others have said. Plus, stickers are pretty unwelcome here. But that is how LEGO does things. Just think about how expensive this would be if it had all printed pieces! Quote

Well... they managed to do it with Parisian Restaurant which was even cheaper and was not an "UCS" Edited August 7, 2014 by peter_m Quote
M'Kyuun Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 By now, stickers are par for the course, and these are by far easier than the UCS X-Wing canopy. My biggest disappointment is the lack of steering; in a set this size, I would have thought it a requisite. Still, it's a nice model, quite accurate to the real thing. I like this far more than the original UCS Batmobile, which was a generalized design, and also did not have steering. Quote
rome00150 Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I think I will just buy the minifigs on bricklink. It's too much money also I hate that a UCS has stickers. Quote
Leewan Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 The build looks amazing ! The lack of direction doens't bother me, I don't think there would have been a proper way to implement it. Of course, it has been done in MOCs. But MOCs are not sets, let's not forget it. Anyways, I'll definitely get it. Probably not in September, but I'll still get it. Quote
vriverajr3 Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 All that black combined with the crazy amount of angled plates, plus all those studs showing, just hurts my eyes. Even with a discount I couldn't see myself ever buying this set. The figures on the other hand are great, and ill have to find some other way to get my hands on them. Quote
_epicster_ Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Damn, the more I look at the set it seems so difficult to build. Hopefully it won't be too fragile and I can move it around when needed. Quote
slugdude Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 The build looks amazing ! The lack of direction doens't bother me, I don't think there would have been a proper way to implement it. I don't think the wheels even turned in the movie... Quote
Ceroknight Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 There's a great review by huw on brickset! Quote
rexusprime Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Does anybody have pictures of Bale's Batman face? Quote
TheRedViper Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Really looking forward to getting this, the figs look superb, and the Tumbler itself looks. Very impressive! Quote
Steph 104th Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Dont know if this has been posted yet but Batman is wearing the wrong suit that is his Batman Begins suit. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Dont know if this has been posted yet but Batman is wearing the wrong suit that is his Batman Begins suit. Which he wore at rhe beggining of the movie , until Fox made the new one. And we have never had the Begins suit in Lego before. Plus we have one of the computer panels depicting the.polic chase from BB, and also we got one for opening Scarcrow scene in TDK Quote
Steph 104th Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Yes, but he only confronted the Joker after fixing his suits flexibility issues. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Yes, but he only confronted the Joker after fixing his suits flexibility issues. Set is not about him confronting the Joker, the figs are there to nake sure the set is bought. Quote
m0dulo Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Set is not about him confronting the Joker, the figs are there to nake sure the set is bought. Very true. The Tumbler is definitely not minifig scale. Quote
Colossus Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 I pass because i have artifex's tumbler Word. Quote
