Bionicle Story Ideas

Hey everyone.

As most of you know, it's heavily rumored that Bionicle will be returning next year. With all the excitement and joy in the air, I thought it would be fun to share any interesting ideas for a storyline that would be cool to see. I would like to see a storyline involving an Anti-Toa, an evil spirit disguised as a hero who will one day betray those closest to him in order to fulfill his evil duties.

Any other ideas?

This sounds like fun, but I don't think I will contribute much because I don't want to get my hopes up for LEGO going with something similar to my own ideas.

I would like for the Matoran to play a good sized role though, whatever happens. I think that they added a nice layer to the story.

Feels like this could go into the 2015 Speculation thread, but whatevs.

Story-wise? I really don't know as far as details go. But overall, I'd prefer going back to the atmosphere of 2001. Mysterious land with strange yet loveable characters.

I'd also prefer a continuation. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I simply can't just throw away, what? Nine years of story? In favor of a new one. All they'd really need to do is set it far in the future. Far enough to where the original story won't affect the new one, but still in continuity so the old story isn't irrelevant. Plus, Spherus Magna. We have an entire planet to explore. I want to see it. I want its secrets to be unraveled.

And, I don't think a reboot could work too well. Bionicle had a great story, so any sort of reboot seems like it'd fall short. And we certainly can't have a repeat of the original story either.

Well I'd really like an overarching villain (makuta) that we only hear about in stories at first and each wave has a commander type of evil character with each wave of sets (lord of skulls)

My idea was somewhat similar. Makuta could be in a different incarnation each wave, and only have his true form revealed at the end of the series (if ever).
