Bricktrain Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 (edited) I have plenty of long haul locos but wanted a small shunter for the switchyard, not easy in PF to fit everything in a small package so managed to come up with this. Still waithing on a couple of windows but otherwise all done for now. http://www.brickshel...ty/p7190095.jpg http://www.brickshel...ty/p7190097.jpg Edited July 19, 2014 by Bricktrain Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Very nice work! Diesel shunter is a train category that I like! Quote
zephyr1934 Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 aw, look that cute little critter, well done and I doubt you could get much smaller. Quote
plew2000 Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Very nice little moc, mind if I ask where you got the bottom train part from? It looks beautiful. Quote
Bricktrain Posted July 19, 2014 Author Posted July 19, 2014 Thanks all. The bottom is the PF train motor, I have added 1x2 logs at each end to fill in the gaps to the buffers, the base is made up of plates, there is a gap in the middle to clear the top of the motor. Unfortunately I didnt have spare cow catcher buffers at present, might have to get some. Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Bring on the Diesel Shunters I say, much overlooked class of engine so nice to see another one on here. Quote
Man with a hat Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Nice little shunter. You did a great job getting all the PF in there. Quote
El H Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 nice work getting battery box, motor and receiver on board. Looks good. Is it intentionally an approximation of a BR Class-02? I have a place in my heart for these little diesel hydraulic engines. Quote
UrbanErwin Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Great little engine, perhaps a stupid question but did you also fit a IR-receiver in it? Quote
Bricktrain Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 Is it intentionally an approximation of a BR Class-02? I have a place in my heart for these little diesel hydraulic engines. I am not sure on that one but I do remember little shunters on some local sidings, private company owned. Great little engine, perhaps a stupid question but did you also fit a IR-receiver in it? Yes. If you look closely you can see it thru the window Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 It does look abit like a BR Class 2 or even a Class 1 for that matter as they are both small compact twin axle shunters of roughly the same size. Quote
