LordCyber Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 So, I'm selling my LEGO. All of it. I'm selling my figurines to my friends, but, how much can I sell a kilo for? Basically "normal" peaces. I have all my rare parts in another container. So, nothing rare. Just average, normal lego. Quote
L@go Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 The cost of LEGO varies quite a lot from country to country. If you're in Sweden - which I'm guessing by the tag in your post - you can probably charge more than you could in, say, the US. So asking here may not give you any particularly good answers. My best advice would be to have a look here - that should give you an idea of what it's worth. Quote
bjorkan Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 But why? I am scarry after reading your decision, can that happen to me? Quote
KringlesBricks Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Just set an average price per brick then go from there... I know in the US, a brick can go from like $0.15 to $0.25 per piece depending on the size. Just add all your bricks up and multiple it by the average price per piece. Say you have 1000 pieces... $0.25 X 1,000 bricks = $250. Just a thought... Quote

Just buy one of the modulars for $150 and you'll get twice that amount of bricks! New! I'd say €/$ 15 a kilo is a fair price… at least that's the amount I normally get for the lots I sell Quote

Is it clean? Quote
ronenson Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 You'll get a much higher value if you can sell complete sets. Quote
Darkoil Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 I sold 1.3kg of random bricks last week for about a tenner, other people charge about 15-20. Quote
antp Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 (edited) But why? I am scarry after reading your decision, can that happen to me? I had the same scary thought I know in the US, a brick can go from like $0.15 to $0.25 per piece depending on the size. That's when you chose the bricks that you buy, not when you buy random mixed parts in bulk. As said above, indeed 10 € / kg is the normal basis price for second-hand parts. If they are like-new and more interesting parts, that may go higher. But selling complete sets may be more interesting. Edited July 21, 2014 by antp Quote
Boulderer Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I generally look at £10/kg (€13/kg) for bulk. This would generally go higher for lots with more specialized pieces, e.g. technic. As said earlier, genuine Lego and clean can have a big influence on what you'll get. But why? I am scarry after reading your decision, can that happen to me? The thought of selling "all of it" definitely sends a chill down the spine! Quote
