I present to you the turbocharged red light racer - Frenzy!

When I saw the Lego-Set: 70724 containing the golden wheels I knew that I had to build a bike with them.

With this build I wanted to broaden my previous styles a bit.

This bike got a red frame, with black forks and swing arm to give it a bit more contrast than my earlier builds.

I've been experimenting with a turbocharged bike for some time, but it has been hard to get it to look right. To get it to look realistic, I wanted all the tubing to be in the right place, and that was quite challenging to say the least...

I'm also very keen to get the lines as clean a flowing as possible, I hope I was able to catch that feeling - of a sleek, fast-looking machine. :)

The broad-angle V-Twin engine is placed in the frame with an slight offset to the right. This is necessary because I wanted to be able to get a clean look off the exhaust-manifold, turbo, down-pipe, pressure-tube and the intercooler. The second reason is that i wanted to keep the bike as narrow as possible with the (imagined) weight as close to the center for better handling.

The tubing from the intercooler continues below the tank between the double frame all the way to the intake. I tried to be as realistic as possible!

Im also quite happy with the front brake calipers.

And I hope you approve of the little color/detail I added with the Green Cotton air-filter and oil-filter

Cheers!

Btw, You can also see this bike and my other ones on my Flickr:

Thank you for all the kind comments!

Great that you like the details, I try to add details for the realism but not to many, I dont want the bikes to look over-done. I want them to look balanced. :)

And I'm sorry to dissapoint you jantejeuh - but my bikes wont get any Chrome on them, not my cup of tea. ;)

Besides - Bricksonwheels does that so good already, hard to compete with!

Darsedz - you got a good point there, some additional wheels for variation would be nice, different styles and withds(spelling?).

You got the ones from set 8420, but those are becoming really expensive...:/

And of course like you said, a part to use as fender, that doesnt look huge and out of place...
