Skro Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 (edited) A few weeks ago, there were thans-blue 1x1 round tiles and trans-clear cheese slopes in my "local" Lego Store. And as a matter of fact, I wanted to create a vignette for the old windsurf I got when I was a kid, and that I brought back from my parents' last year. So here it is: (click on the images for larger size) Edited July 14, 2014 by Skro Quote

cgarison Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Nice scene! The technic used on the water is very effective. Quote
ManInATopHat Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Nice build, great wave effect! Say, what set's the windsurfer from? I have one from the marina, but I don't recall ever seeing this sail design. Quote
Skro Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 what set's the windsurfer from? I have one from the marina, but I don't recall ever seeing this sail design. That's the Beach Bandit, that had also a wonderful dampered wheelbase. (fun fact, the windsurfer is actually the old minifigure from the same set, just with new hair) Quote
Skro Posted July 21, 2018 Author Posted July 21, 2018 (edited) The vignette sat for a few years on my shelf, but a few weeks ago, I found some pieces that could fit in a backyard sale, so I thought I could expand it... http://skro.hellabeth.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/img_1474-e1532199257426.jpg[/img] main view of the set leaving the shore The water is good, you should come! top view (from the backyard sale came the second windsurf, the dinghy and the palm tree) Edited July 21, 2018 by Skro (image size) Quote
