eurotrash Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 What questions I'd like to be asked... Which bits of the MOC are you most proud of? What special techniques did you use to create that bit? Quote
Paul B Technic Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I get this sometimes, to me anything is for sale for the right price :) Quote
CP5670 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 At the Brickfair events, they give all the exhibitors cards with answers to many of these questions ("I don't know how many pieces, I wasn't counting") to display next to the models. Quote
AFOLguy1970 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 When my first MOC is finally done, I can see keeping track of the number of pieces. LDD can provide that information in the spreadsheet. As for how long it took, that will be easy to calculate. With that said, I have no intention of determining how much it all cost me. Some things are better left a mystery The "instructions" would be the LDD files since that is how it was initially designed and this was followed to put together the different sections so far. Is it for sale? Nope. Quote
Faefrost Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 3. I cannot answer on the grounds that if I did my wife would kill me. Quote
splatman Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 No. 5 seems to be misunderstood. If I'm understanding it, it means, can it be had as a set in stores? I've been asked that question a few times regarding some things I've built. Quote
LOTRfan Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Another one is, by my friends, 'is that from instructions?' No, of course its not, why would i show you it if it was made from instructions.... Quote
ShaydDeGrai Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 I displayed my WIP of Barad Dur at Brickfair New England and heard these five questions repeatedly (as well as "How much that that weigh?") but the question that made me cringe was asked by a woman in her 30's (?) with a young child in tow: "That looks a little different from the one in the store, did you change something?" For those who have not seen the MOC, I'm pretty sure that, were it hollow, her child would have fit inside of it with room to spare (lord knows my cats had fun with it when I was building it). I felt like saying, "yes, I added A HUNDRED THOUSAND BRICKS and built AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT MODEL" but I restrained myself and politely told her she was confusing it with the Tower of Orthanc kit and gave her a little LOTR backstory. Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted July 18, 2014 Eurobricks Emperor Posted July 18, 2014 There's one more that I always get: 6. Does it have an interior. Quote
