DuckBricks Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 (edited) Hello All, I just visited LEGO.com and they have the Chima Ultrabuilds (Fire vs Ice) advertised on the main page with the US region turned on! In addition, they are listed on the product page as well. I hope that the site designers just didn't make a mistake and post it on the US site as well, as I am dying to get these in the US! Note the US flag... Edited July 3, 2014 by legozebra Quote
OriginalJK555 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 (edited) As much as I hate to tell the Lego insiders that they were wrong, I never understood why they thought TLG would not release these in one of their biggest markets. Pretty sure we'll see them in August. Edited July 4, 2014 by OriginalJK555 Quote

just2good Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I thought these were going to be released here in the Fall... Quote
Aanchir Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 There's word directly from LEGO that they won't be released in North America because they don't sell well. Which isn't entirely surprising. Different markets can prefer different kinds of sets. LEGO Technic also gets a much wider release in Europe than North America because it's just not as popular over here as brick-based themes. Quote
DuckBricks Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Just checked back- it must have been a mistake as it has been changed to show the Lion Legend Beast... Quote
PenPlays Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Forgive me for bumping this little thread back up to the surface, but... In the July/August issue of the US Lego Club Magazine, there is a two page spread (pages 8 and 9) that feature the Fire vs. Ice wave. While the entire right side of the image (page 9) focuses on the new Speedorz sets, the left side (page 8) features the CHI Ultrabuilds of Fluminox and Sir Fangar. Both are plainly in view with no obstructions (they are very clearly shown). I am now rather curious of what Lego's next move is. We have a couple advertisements now (not to mention a full product page) of these figures. Do they really still plan to keep these out of the US? Quote

The website shows all the fire vs ice sets except for the ultra builds. My guess is that they will not be released and if anyone complains because they saw it in the magazine lego will just say product availability varies in different countries... Quote
badbob001 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 I wonder if much of the LEGO club magazine content is the same for multiple countries, hence the inclusion of sets that may not be released. Quote
