Norrington Posted June 7, 2007 Author Posted June 7, 2007 (edited) I got that new program, and it's pretty good. Here are my latest designs, all from the PotC attraction at DisneyLand. Note: Most of the pictures of the figures are from the 60's. In the various rehabs and costume changes the details, figures themselves, or entire scenes have changed, so I've based mine on the original costumes, figures, and scenes. The Auctioneer: The Red-head: The Pooped Pirate: The Lamp-post Pirate: The Hat Theif and Torching Pirates: The Hairy-Leg Pirate and Piggy-Pirate: The Jail Pirates: The Pirate Minstrels: And the Town Magistrate, Carlos (the man being dunked in the well): Alot of them are very simple, but I think they work. A perfect example of what I just said is the 3rd Jail Pirate. Also, to Bonaparte, I was wondering if the new versions of my previous designs (The Auctioneer, Pooped Pirate, etc.) could be put under seperate titles then the others as in: Auctioneer original by Norrington Auctioneer re-make by Norrington Auctioneer re-re-make by Norrington Pooped Pirate original by Norrington Pooped Pirate re-make by Norrington Pooped Pirate re-re-make by Norrington or some thing to this effect? Sorry for those HUGE pictures. Edited June 7, 2007 by Norrington Quote
SirScottLego Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 What a riot! Looks like you are having way too much fun. Really like the red-head! You may want to visit http://www.classic-castle.com/howto/articles/Torsos.html for official Lego colors... Have you stuck any of your designs on a mini yet? Quote

The ones at the top of page2 are the ones I have attached. Though, I want to print all my PotC torsos and make a Minifig scale ride through of PotC. Though, that would require making decals for all the pirates! Oh well, at least I've got all the Burning City scene done. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted June 7, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted June 7, 2007 (edited) Also, to Bonaparte, I was wondering if the new versions of my previous designs (The Auctioneer, Pooped Pirate, etc.) All remakes and color variations from a torso (from the same designer) are put on 1 line to keep the torso library a bit manageable. Else the overview will be gone as the list will become very long. All your new designs have just been added in the library. Edited June 7, 2007 by bonaparte Quote

Else the overview will be gone as the list will become very long. All your new designs have just been added in the library. Well, I was wondering could you put the newer designs as the first in their column? Because when I go to my EIC officer the one that's first and the newer improved is second. Could you make it so that the newer is the first and the outdated designs are after it? As in: Auctioneer: Newest, outdated, outdated by Norrington Pooped Pirate: Newest, outdated, outdated, by Norrington And do it for all my designs? Also, I think after this that the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction needs its own column because I plan on making more and that is going to be alot! Plus, I think that for multiple designs (Like the jail pirates) that they should be specified which Jail Pirate so people won't think that they are the smae decal, just different versions, as in: Jail Pirate w/ Bone, Jail Pirate, Jail pirate w/ noose by Norrington Edited June 7, 2007 by Norrington Quote
john cleese Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Your latest decals are a vast improvement on your first works. These new ones are great, i like the ruffles. Quote

Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted June 7, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted June 7, 2007 (edited) You are giving me a lot of work Mr. Norrington ;-) Are you certain these belong in the POTC part of the library? Is this Disneyland attraction based on POTC? Just double checking. Edited June 7, 2007 by bonaparte Quote
Scouty Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 It's the other way around. The attraction was made well over 10 years ago. The movie POTC was based off of the ride. The igniter, if you will. Quote

Also, the ones I just made (Master Gracey) Belong to the Haunted Mansion attraction. Pehaps the PotC Ride and Haunted Mansion ride should each have their own decal columns because I do plan to make more. Bu does the Haunted Mansion attraction have any connection at all with PoTC? Edited June 7, 2007 by bonaparte Quote
El Bucanero Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 You get better with every torso you make Norrington! Good job! But I do suggest you to create a thread in the MOC forum for all the non-pirate related torsos. Well the decals from the PotC ride might be in the right place (under POTC).But does the Haunted Mansion attraction have any connection at all with PoTC? Except for it being a Disney film, no. Well, the original versions are in the same location: New Orleans Sqaure, and Master Gracey has been said to be the Captain of the ship in the attraction, but the latter is wrong. So I'd just say follow my plan as I said in my last post. Quote

Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted June 7, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted June 7, 2007 (edited) Ok, that's all done. That's the 2nd time you gave me a lot of work in 1 day Mr. Norrington. Can I ask a favor? If you make new torso's, can you add (at the end of your post) the links as they should be in the torso library (so I can just do copy/paste). Also make a note in which category they should go. Will make my life a lot easier. So I don't have to ask all these questions ;-). Edited June 7, 2007 by bonaparte Quote

You can see part of the buttons. And I can still see part of the epaulettes. It's not a problem. I resized them, and they are not visible through the sash when resized. Also, I tried my hand at the 50th Regiment, or Queen's Regiment: Here is the template I made for them: The officer: Infantry: Greneders: Note: Anything visible through something else is not visible once resized! Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted June 9, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted June 9, 2007 (edited) Note: Anything visible through something else is not visible once resized! But still it is a strange effect. First time I see this. You could easily correct this (no?). EDIT: Did some quick changes with PSP using the "kloonpensel" function. But I have no English translation. Something like clone stick? Edited June 9, 2007 by bonaparte Quote

Not really, I sometimes go outside the lines when filling in, so I just leave it if it is fine when resized. I only change it when it needs to be. Quote
SirScottLego Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Norrington, it has been so much fun watching the progression of this post! You started from scatch and you are really getting good. Keep it up! Quote
