I don't have anything great to say, because the claims against me are ludicrous and brought fourth by someone who orchestrated a townie death himself.

I'm a bit busy with other presidential duties at the moment, but I'll be back with a full defense soon.

So if you don´t have anything much to say... has anyone else, about Benito or overall this day and yesterday...

Everybody, including me, is just waiting for Da Shen to tell us who to vote for and call it a day.

Lets look at yesterday's vote as others have suggested (yet no one bothered to actaully look at it ... )

It all started with random accusations here and there and then the group pretty much decided to lynch Allan for being a noob.

Then Da Shen revealed the vote and we found out that Katalina voted without commenting much, if at all, at which point there was a MASSIVE vote switch towards her

Katalina was to be lynched as majority had been reached but Da Shen used his Judge ability to condemn Mei-Zhen which at that point had 2 votes (Katalina and Juan)

Of note here is the fact that Da Shen had removed his vote from Mei-Zhen; why condemn a person whom you did not vote for?

Now, Da Shen's "role" surely does not sound like a scum role, after all, revealing the vote does not help scum at all; but in the end revealing the vote did not have a impact what so ever as the vote was decided by a single person, the same person who revealed the vote. In effect, revealing the vote was more of a diversion, who is to say that this was not done to save a fellow scum?

You thoughts?

I strongly doubt it was done to save a fellow scum. We know that Katalina had some real life stuff and had to be replaced, and Da Shen decided to choose who was second most suspicious as Katalina had a pretty good reason. Let's not get too hung up on that since we can't talk to her today to see if she is suspicious at all.

That did I think that first also but that will only take us one step (big step for sure)to our goal to catch the scum but I think to close the day and silence down will be better for scum then for us town or what do you think?

Next night can be a bad night for town, so it would be better to keep the day thread up and try to catch the scum, right!

But ofcourse if no one is speaking then there is not much point to keep this day up!

There are a lot of valid points to think about. I agree with keeping this day thread talking will help much more than quieting down and just letting it end in silence.

Him choosing to lynch Mei doesn't mean it's a faulty claim - Mei was looking scummy, so she was chosen for the lynch.

Da Shen, I'm not entirely sure why you find Benito suspicious other than his talkativity. Where are your suspicions from here?

It seems Da Shan may have received word from the cop as to who was non Malone or Benito sabut we're yet to get confirmation on that.

Sorry about above, I meant to say either the investigator told Da Shan or Benito tipped him off but we've not heard for sure.

(Accidentally hit reply before I finished typing, darn edit rule  )

Okay, let me fill you folks (the town, not the two people I've quoted here) in on the background of things.

So, Benito is likely the scum killer, and Paco is the scum blocker.

1) the cop investigated Paco as "not Malone" last night

2) I asked Paco about his role, and he declined to say.

3) I found out from the town blocker that Benito was blocked. That, combined with excessive fishing in PMs, and his happiness to lynch Katalina, showed him to be uber-scummy. Like, the scummiest.

4) I told Benito the cop results were on him.

5) He told Paco he was the one being fingered, and so Paco reopened communication with me and told me he was the blocker (not knowing the town blocker had already contacted me). Likely he is a blocker, the scum blocker.

6) Benito made his very meagre defence, pointing the finger back at me, because scum out themselves on day two to take out major threats like him?

7) Paco has reversed his position, and now also thinks I'm scum, and wants to cast suspicion on any claims I make

So, Paco is 100% scum, as is Benito, but Benito is the killer, so let's block him tonight, and lynch that no-good bum Paco today. We can lynch Benito tomorrow.

Lynch Paco!

If anything, this convinced me that Da Shen is most likely a Malone. Think about it... there are only a small number of us and the key mechanic here is that the votes are private. To reveal the votes is a pretty pro town thing to do and is a counter for a powerful scum advantage. The judge aspect, I'll admit can go to either side, but to give both of those roles to a single scum player seems overpowered. Unless we have some really powerful counters to it. It's not surprising to me that there was a role that could manipulate the visibility of the vote.

At this point, Paco... it seems pretty obvious that the proper way to validate Da Shen is to test his claims. What do you propose in light of what he's revealed for a plan of action to test the various claims that are now public.

Benito... how is an investigation claim of not-Mallone against you "ludicrous"?

Wow, that's a lot of info all at once but it seems you've done your homework. At least on the surface it appears you've nailed it, well done!

Paco, Benito, any ideas on the the third scum?

Thank you Da-Shan!

Thank you Da-Shan!

Yes

The scum should all have voted for Katalina, to get the lynch going. It was in secret, they wanted a lynch, why would they even consider splitting their vote? So, if we look here (red is scum, green is town):

Katalina Lombard (Kristel) - 9 (jamesn, Masked Builder, Trumpetking, adventurer1, Bob, Adam, Piratedave84, Mencot, Speedy)

The other scum should be one of the uncoloured. Can't guarantee anything, of course. I'm relying on common sense here to navigate.

The scum has gotten quiet. I can understand, they had a pretty unlucky first two days, it gets pretty frustrating.

Well, I'm back. And it appears we are looking good.

So, we have both an investigation result and conflicting claims on Paco? Combine that with him trying to put suspicion on Da Shen and you get an obvious lynch, this is no rocket science.

So, Paco is 100% scum, as is Benito, but Benito is the killer, so let's block him tonight, and lynch that no-good bum Paco today. We can lynch Benito tomorrow.

Sounds like a good plan. If Benito is blocked twice in a row and there is no scum kill on either night, we can be very confident that he really is the scum killer.

The sooner we kill those feds, the sooner we can steal this bomb. Let's do it.

Posted

So basically Paco is for sure scum, and Benito is likely scum as well?

I am wondering, though, why if we are so sure that Benito is the killer, we are lynching Paco first. Is it just because he's the for sure option?

Posted

Benito... how is an investigation claim of not-Mallone against you "ludicrous"?

Because I am a Malone, that's why.

I'm sure Paco is scum, but I have an idea that you and Da Shen are both scum. You're both scummy scum.

Well, Benito is the killer, so we can block him and stop him from killing. If we lynch him, the kill may go to a third scum, which would let the scum manage a kill tonight.

Really? You're sure Paco and I are both scum? I've seen this Benito routine before, and it wasn't all that funny the first time.

Yes, block me tonight so that the scum take this opportunity to not kill anyone tonight and make me look guilty so you waste a day on me tomorrow. Please, investigator, investigate me and prove this charade as false.

So you're saying you're the godfather. Good, now we won't have to worry about false results on anyone else

The biggest mistake you made was trying to call me out as scum. I'm not, nobody believes that, and it basically makes you look like you've given up since your defence is nonsensical. You could say I was mistaken, but calling me scum makes zero sense. Was it Yakuza you did the exact same thing as scum? I forgot, but you need to get a new strategy.

It's no strategy, I genuinely think you're scum. I'm also not the godfather because I'm not scum. Why are you so dead set on me being scum? It's so wrong it's actually funny.

I wasn't calling you out as scum directly, I was merely restated what had already been stated. By lumping me in this statement you might as well be advertising that you are scum. I actually find you calling me scummy scum funny. And if you are not scum then how can you be sure Paco is scum? Scum know each other. So again you are advertising that you are scum.

Did Da Shen not just say that Paco was found as Not Malone? Well, I guess by me validating that it proves that I don't think def is scum. So, basically I just outed myself as scum.

Okay, you've caught me fair and square. I'm scum.

Can I get a cool photoshopped picture too?

I'm being sarcastic, by the way. I can trust def's investigator that Paco is labeled as Not Malone. I'm not scum.

I have a question for the more experienced players, can a game really be this open and shut? It seems like this is almost too easy, but maybe that just happens.

No. It's never this easy. Don't be fooled by the wool that's going over your eyes.
