grum64 Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 (edited) Just seen this and thought it interesting enough to share. I have looked though the forums but couldn't find this story anywhere but apologies if it's been posted before. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2648668/Thats-lot-bricks-114ft-Lego-tower-uses-450-000-blocks-break-world-record.html Edited June 6, 2014 by grum64 Quote
antp Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 (edited) Impressive that it was "free standing", i.e. not supported a reinforcement structure or cables (except those used while building for safety). At the end they say "The tower was disassembled the day after" -> I suppose they didn't just push it to make it dismantle itself on the ground I like when they build things that they dismantle afterwards: I find the glued big structures much less "Lego", bricks are made to be re-used!
