xtent Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Anyone here take requests? Looking to have a NASCAR custom figure made. Depending on cost would like to buy at least 10 for now with the option to purchase more later. Quote
CustomJoe_MD Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) Hello Xtent, you might want to talk to someone who does digital uv printing, if you want small quantities at high quality. There is also the possibility of decals, stickers or if you want a Lego quality minifig, then you need to have them Pad printed, and that is very expensive if you only want 10. So think well on what quantity and design you want. And maybe post a sketch or a picture of the design for reference. Hope this helps you getting to your objective, and good luck. PS: If you let us know where you are in the world, and what kind of custom you want we may suggest someone to you. Edited June 4, 2014 by CustomJoe_MD Quote
xtent Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 Thank you for the reply, I am in the U.S. Are there any members you would recommend when it comes to digital uv printing? The figure I want to have created is Josh Wish in his Dogecoin uniform. Quote

CustomJoe_MD Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 (edited) I'd say talk to Victor or his wife at https://www.flickr.com/photos/eclipsegrafx/ http://www.eclipsebricks.com/ If you are going with digital. If you can get another 15 people to buy 10 each it would make sense to do PAD like lego, in which case I'd say go with with Adam http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=95547 It really depends on quantity. If you have a design that can be printed in different plastic color bases, you can probably get a couple of variations with the exact same printing template. They are some of the best in the biz in your side of the Ocean, there are a few others. PS: KingPixels No idea what language you are talking there, it's all elvish to me :D Edited June 5, 2014 by CustomJoe_MD Quote
KingPixels Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Yes Awesome. I've been a subscriber for a while. Quote
xtent Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 (edited) Want to keep this custom minifig quiet for now, until they are made. Edited June 25, 2014 by xtent Quote
xtent Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 Have reached out to multiple sources, waiting to hear back. Another idea is to possibly see if someone can recreate the uniform into clear decals? Then I would have to source the black body parts and apply them. Unsure on how hard it will be to put decals on a helmet. Quote
emilstorm Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Unsure on how hard it will be to put decals on a helmet. From my experience it is very hard, particularly the very round racer helmet. How much detail do you need on these figures, I had to google nascar driver, and the ones that come up are decorated like Christmas trees, I think it would be really hard to achieve that on a black background. xtent Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 Would the patches on the uniform be hard to print onto decals? Quote
emilstorm Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I think printing it will probably be ok, but they might blur out on the black background, depending on how fine the print is. Quote
