niels0 Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Hi all, I'm Niels (41) from The Netherlands, living in Belgium. During moving to Belgium I found my old Lego, mostly from the 80s. In order to see if the sets are still complete I started constructing... Fun! In 2013 I worked in Denmark and I always flew via Billund, where Legoland is located, and bought some of the Lego Architecture sets in their Lego-shop. The nicest sets I have are the trains from the grey-era and perhaps I'm going to collect some more items from that period. My 1st Lego-project this year will be a train-bridge and I will investigate possibilities to automate my 12V track. Quote
emilstorm Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Welcome Niels, That sounds like good find, that 80's stuff is some of the best they ever made Quote
niels0 Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 Indeed Emile. I like the 80s trains more than the stuff they sell today. Plan is to buy more trains from that era. As you can see in my signature my train-collection is still small but all collections start with few items though. Quote

Yeps, you have to start somewhere The 80's trains are still the only Lego trains I really care for, the sets released since then just have no appeal to me, I can't quite say what it is about them.
