TechnicHead41 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Long time no see. Yes i'm back again, finally i've got the the time to do some mocking again. This time it's an old type backhoe. Please look away from the back wheels they still need some yellow 8*8 radar dishes. But i don't have those yet. Quote
captainmib Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 What functions are you planning to add? Looks promising so far. Is it going to be a studless 8862? Quote
TechnicHead41 Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 A fully function backhoe with support legs and digger + front shovel.. No not the 8862, but some kind of brand. Maybe an old ford or a case. havent decided yet. Have some more pictures i will upload later, different functions is been tested.. Quote
emilstorm Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Looks great so far I like the old technic a lot without all the panels and stuff. Funny to see an "old style" creation made out of lift arms Quote
TechnicHead41 Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 Made some more changes to the backhoe. Pics will follow later... Quote
TechnicHead41 Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 Back digger completed and tested. Works great !!! Also included a fast coupling to attach different shovels and other tools. Quote
emilstorm Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Still looks great Nice mud guards, and i really like how you have placed the pneumatic valves. The shovel is starting to look a little too small though, so good thing you put that coupling on there Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Looking very good so far,I look forward to more pictures as you continue the build. Quote
TechnicHead41 Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 Thanks a lot. Yes it was a good idea to make a quick coupling... Now i have to finnish that drivers cabin and get some yellow radar dishes to the back wheels. And of course the front shovel... Quote
TechnicHead41 Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 Thanks again. Now wish i had some sort of 4 way valves instead ! Hint hint Efferman !.... Quote
TechnicHead41 Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 Made some changes to the backhoe. Larger front wheels, added the front shovel arm. Different digging shovels.. Close up picture of the quick coupling.. Hope you like it so far ! Any tips or suggestions are welcome. Quote
D3K Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Did you glue 1x2 tiles to the large yellow excavator bucket? Looks pretty good! Quote
TechnicHead41 Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 (edited) Yes i did a long time ago. Lego didn't made one of these, so i had to do it my self. Edited June 5, 2014 by TechnicHead41 Quote
