lightningtiger Posted August 13, 2014 Author Posted August 13, 2014 Lightningtiger, I always feel a homely feel about your layouts Thanks 'Spud The Viking' for your kind comment. Sadly due the lack of cash the mega build to join this project is another week off starting......but please keep watching. Quote

lightningtiger Posted September 8, 2014 Author Posted September 8, 2014 Finally a new update...... I'm going to try and do a fresh full length photo shoot tomorrow.....so keep watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 Mega-photo update time....... I'm still planning a silo to go past the weighbridge and stock yards.......no sales there today so no livestock. Keep watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 12, 2014 Author Posted September 12, 2014 I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for other things or things to be changed......modernised or whatever ? Or do I leave it be and just add the silo ? Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 13, 2014 Author Posted September 13, 2014 Okay, what about helping me pick which silo to build ? Or any other types ? Quote
monsinjor Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Hey Tiger! Nice update... The town looks very nice. About the silo... mix between those two! Quote
LAKAbricks Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Good to see an update of all New Mannum, LT. I just wonder if the man with the big red had next to Foodland took a wrong leftturn somewhere... I just realized that the buildings are mainly white. Is that normal for Australian towns? Of the two kinds of silos, I would choose the first ones... I think. Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 14, 2014 Author Posted September 14, 2014 Thanks 'Iaka' and 'monsinjor' for your feedback......I'm always grateful to you both. Actually......yes, many structures are white......except maybe where a chain retailer/dealer uses a primary colour for their store front or sheds. My town has a lot of colourful characters in it.......I don't want a boring place ! So the older concrete style one.......okay, what does everyone else think ? Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 14, 2014 Author Posted September 14, 2014 Metal silos. Thanks 'dr_spock'. Now that's 1 vote concrete, 1 vote metal and 1 vote combo.......my life is complex ! Someone please be a tie breaker. Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 14, 2014 Author Posted September 14, 2014 Thanks 'Criga88'......looks like concrete, see how many other people think that over the next 24 hours and then I'll start LDD work on it.....I know it's going to be ouchy to my wallet. Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 26, 2014 Author Posted September 26, 2014 (edited) I decided to change something......what does every one think of it ? Keep watching ! Edited September 26, 2014 by lightningtiger Quote
Gongoro73 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 I love this layout. It's so different beign mostly white. I find it so beautiful and peaceful, with all those one-floor buildings. Charming. I vote concrete too, it will add some nice contrast IMO, although I guess you've already begun to build it. Can't wait to see the final result, good luck. Quote
Criga88 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 I'm liking the new roof, it looks like it fits in with the rest of the street better than the previous version. The two grilles to break up the walls are a nice touch, looking forward to more Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 27, 2014 Author Posted September 27, 2014 Thanks 'criga88' and 'Gongoro73' for your kind words. I chose the new frontage based around an old Coles store frontages from the 1950's......many of these still are around being used as chemists, etc.,. No, I haven't started the silo yet, but I will soon......looks like it's concrete and a huge cash investment into it. Keep watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 Things are changing again.......keep watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 30, 2014 Author Posted October 30, 2014 A bit more work done today......see what you can spy that's new or just different, keep watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 30, 2014 Author Posted October 30, 2014 I've decided to make a special roof section similar to the one on the bank to give the pub a better realistic look. Once I have that and the Stobie poles done that will be it until after the Toy Corner mini-show......then more changes for 2015 (any suggestions for you might like to see post them).......keep watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 2, 2014 Author Posted November 2, 2014 I recalculated tonight that my Stobie poles are a little too high so I'm going to redesign them tonight......oh, yeah I might be planning more shops for the main street after November's TC show so totally keep watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 Update time....... More to come.....so as usual keep watching ! Quote
Criga88 Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 That's looking great LT, can't wait to see more Quote
