Hello lego community,

due to an invite of a friend of us, here is my second version of the Italian railway high speed train called Frecciarossa, actually in service in Italy and able to reach a speed of over 300 km/h. My first version, exhibited for the first time at the Model Expo Italy 2014 last March in Verona (built in 2013), wasn't able to run on standard curves, but only on smooth curves. This version adapts to every radius. Let me know you that the opening of the Direttissima line, connecting Florence with Rome, in stages between 1978 and 1991 was the first high speed line in Europe and that the last speed record of the Frecciarossa is 362 km/h (225 mph)- 2009 - between Florence and Bologna. This represents the "indoors" world speed record, as the speed was reached in the Monte Bibele tunnel on the new high speed line between Bologna and Florence.

Now I hope to see it running at the next Fanwelt 2014 in Cologne .....

Thanks for watching this little treat...

(and thanks to Rick and Fugazi for their admirable tolerance ...)

That looks amazing :classic: Very much like the real thing, and i think you nailed the color scheme. The front end is full of nice techniques, the only thing i would suggest doing different would be to move the head lights apart so its more like the real one. Tiny detail, and it would maybe mess up te edge a little. otherwise perfect :classic:

Hi Max,

what should I say / write? I find the train nice, very very nice. With a distinctive design. The length of the cars is impressive. How long is a Wagon? How long is the total train?

I take my hat off to you.

Best regards Udo

PS: Is your wife always so tolerant? I get evil looks when I use the dining table for too long.

That's a beautiful train! I hope Lego are watching: this nicely shows you don't need a single big mold to do the front of a high speed train.
