Hi everyone. Long time LEGO fan here. Came out of the dark ages a couple years ago, and have since read countless great reviews on EuroBricks. About time to officially join this great community!

I grew up in India in the 1980s, and owe my first exposure to LEGO bricks to my parents, who got me DUPLO bricks when I was very tiny. I don't remember how old I was when I started building/playing, but suffice it to say it's been for as long as I can remember.

Needless to say, I have very fond memories of the classic space sets as well (Space and City were/are my favorite themes), most of which I still have. As an AFOL, I collect minifigures and sets from the Architecture series. I've also recently started the LEGO Master Builder Academy program, and am really enjoying it.

For now, I can't wait to get my hands on Benny's Spaceship Spaceship SPACESHIP!!!

Hello and welcome! Your story sounds much like mine, except I didn't have duplos. My parents were, what you might call really poor, so we only had a big bunch of handed down Lego when I was tiny. Yep, went straight to grown up bricks, and didn't eat a single one. But my parents tell me that when I was around 3 I always went around trying to lift my head off like a mini figure :) anyways welcome, hope you enjoy it here:)

Welcome to Eurobricks! You were lucky to have Duplo growing up. In our small town we had limited selection on many things especially toys. I was bought two Basic Lego sets (one small and one large). Still have the larger one, most of it anyways. Glad you can't grow out of it. :)

Thank you Emilstorm. That bit about trying to lift your head off like a minifigure is hilarious!

Thank you Adventurer. We didn't have any stores that I knew of in my city selling LEGO in the 1980s, and duty free shops at airports were my primary source. It's amazing how even the smallest selection at some of the shops meant so much as a kid. I learnt not to complain and would be glad with whatever I was able to buy, as long as they had the red, white and yellow logo on the top left of the boxes!

Welcome to EB! Have fun!

Thank you Milan!

Welcome to EB!

Thanks! The Space Police II Galactic Mediator is awesome! I really, *really* love the Solar Snooper from the same series.
