WIP: 8 Legged M.U.T.O.

When I first saw the trailers for the new Godzilla, I noticed something more interesting than Godzilla: the M.U.T.O. So I googled for pictures of the Muto and didn't get to see much but here is my try anyway:

Pretty satisfied with how it turned out (except the head) but some parts of it are bound to be wrong so I'm calling it a WIP for now. So if you know any pictures of the female Muto or you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know.

I think you can reduce the head size, and beef up the rear legs.

And look at the abdomen of the chibi, there's another spoiler...

the 8-legged MUTO later metamorphoses into the flying one. Just an in-story concern.

I like how you incorporated the bioluminescent aspects, but I'm pretty sure the movie version has a splitting head (hard to implement and definitely a trait that should only be implemented if you know you can make it look good). Also, I'd recommend the Godzilla wikia for pictures.

I think I got rid of them, but I'm not exactly sure what the spoilers were so it may still be there.

Curses, Draiknova! What do you mean by splitting head though, do you mean that it has a moving jaw or that the whole head actually splits? (If the latter, curses!)

I think he might mean that the "mouth" opens by the entire head spilling in half, horizontally. Not totally sure that's what he means though.

Yeah, I meant that the head consists out of three sections instead of the regular two (so that there are two jaw segments). I'm not entirely sure, but I'm going to see the movie tonight, so I'll check for you.

Sorry, I made a mistake. Turns out the 8-legged one really is the female of the pair. I would recommend using some tr. orange 3-length shells to make the egg pouch, though. Also, the head (which is slightly larger and more square at the front than it is in your current version) opens normally, with two large black teeth in the front corners of it's upper jaw (and a bunch of small ones in between and behind them), with the lower jaw possessing the same configuration (although the movie version can move the teeth slightly, which is what made me believe it to have three head segments in the first place). Also, I would remove the quaza spikes from the arms and merely make the bone structure slightly longer there, perhaps using a 3-length bone piece, using the 3-length armor as the tip.

Also, it's legs are remarkably bulky, and the IfB small Beast foot design would work well to simulate it's almost elephantine feet.

You absolutely nailed the look of the smaller arms, though, and the shape of the torso is accurate.

Alright, saw the movie today and my Muto is reaaaally far off. I'll beef up the legs and make it a bit longer and redo the entire head and body from scratch, but the head will be a pain and I'm open to suggestions.

Good MOC. Just saw the movie. I agree with beefing up the back legs and making the front slightly longer.

pretty decent, though I would recommend beefing up her front a bit. Her head was a bit small compared to her massive legs in the movie. That bit where
