BruceW4yne Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Morning all, After reading some threads here and downloading some of the amazing custom decals available, I thought it only fair that i share my own efforts as and when I create them for others to use. I'm new to this so would appreciate any tips or input if there's something I need to keep in mind. I figured I'd try using waterslide decals done on my home printer to see how it turned out. My son and I love DC comics so we already collect the sets where we can but we really wanted to make a Professor Zoom/Reverse Flash so here's my first offering: I used a template available here and went from there after moving some parts around for better printing. Hope you like, I'll add more as I go, thanks. Quote
CustomJoe_MD Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Hell of a way to make an entrance, nice zoom. Quote
BruceW4yne Posted May 15, 2014 Author Posted May 15, 2014 Thanks very much! It's based on the recent Flashpoint Paradox movie. Quote
BruceW4yne Posted May 15, 2014 Author Posted May 15, 2014 Thanks mate. I've started a Powergirl(I have daughters too) so made a base for the male and female torso to reuse. Quote
Rinzler Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 ^Heh, BEWBS! Sorry, anyway, nice work on the decals, always a pleasure to see my nemesis in Lego form Quote
BruceW4yne Posted May 16, 2014 Author Posted May 16, 2014 LOL! Yeah, I figured they'd be easy enough to recolour in MSPaint or Photoshop. :) Quote
Artifex Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Those are very nice! Very nice indeed! Thanks for sharing. Shouldn't Power Girl be a little more... "Powerful"? Maybe in the chest area? Just kidding! Please keep them coming Quote
Rinzler Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Shouldn't Power Girl be a little more... "Powerful"? Maybe in the chest area? Just kidding! Is everybody going to make a BEWB joke now? Quote
BruceW4yne Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 Mirror Master. Figured I'd stick with a Flash theme after seeing the trailer for the new series. Quote
BruceW4yne Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 I couldn't help it. I had to start this one. LOL! Quote
rosalind14 Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Great work, BruceWyne! If only I had somewhere I could print these off, I'd do it straight away! Quote
BruceW4yne Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 I appreciate that thanks. :) So do most folks use waterslide decals printed at home or are there other ways? Quote
Rinzler Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Me Gusta! I desperately want sets based on The Flash TV show, could you do a Weather Wizard based on the show please? Quote
BruceW4yne Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 (edited) Flash is ready. Hope you like it. BTW it seems the links I'm posting suffer some degradation(in terms of image quality), but going direct to the Photobucket album seems to be fine? Edited May 18, 2014 by BruceW4yne Quote
Rinzler Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 (edited) That's awesome. And yes, that version of Weather Wizard, I don't know why but I'm not that keen on his comic look, it's okay, but not great EDIT: I just noticed, a guy with a profile pic of Professor Zoom is having a civilized conversation with a guy with a profile pic of The Flash, weird when you think about it, huh? BruceW4yne Posted May 19, 2014 Author Posted May 19, 2014 My son pointed that out to me yesterday too. Funny that. LOL. Quote
Rinzler Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Dude, your son is Kid Zoom! Anyway, who else could see the Flash TV show stealing from Arrow around episode 9? Episode 9: Arrow: Nemesis kidnaps a group of people, forces hero out. Hero is left brutally beaten after first fight. Nemesis is revealled to be someone close to hero (Malcolm Merlyn) Flash: Nemesis kidnaps a group of people/commits major crime, forces hero out. Hero left beaten after fight, Nemesis is revealled to be someone close to hero (Eddie Thawne) Episode 10: Arrow: Hero gives up while an arsonist (Firefly) runs rampant a round city, due to lack of confidence, hero fails to beat him, arsonist kills himself at the end Flash: Hero gives up as an arsonist (Heatwave) runs amok, due to lack of confidence, hero fails to beat him, arsonist kills himself in the end Who else could see that happening?
