Greetings,

I just wanted to share my first Caste MOC.

The brave Lion Knights head in the forest to stop the advancing Dragon Army led by the ruthless Evil Knight.

Their first step is to conquer the small outposts hidden in the forest.

Nice classic style outpost. I like the skeleton and the fact the commander of the evil knights is at the top of the tower watching the action rather than fighting. It's a good chaotic looking battle too even though there aren't that many mifigs fighting. A couple of suggestions:

I'd be tempted to switch the flowers around so you have similar coloured flowers on a plant (most official lego sets do what you do, but in real life you don't usually get totally different coloured flowers on a plant). I'd also add some leaf litter, stones, & small plants to the forest floor with any small plates & slopes, it helps break up the baseplate. I'd also add a few more plants around the bases of the rock where it'd be damp. (Actually I think "if there is room add more plants" is what I'd do to pretty much any lego creation ;-) I'm sure someone else can give you better advice that's less biased towards botany!

Thanks for the reply.

You"re right, the terrain looks kinda flat.

All I need now are some green plates and vegetation.

Hey Petru this looks nice. I really like the tower and the skeleton. Also, I totally agree with zabdiel, puting some leaves around and scattered stonework will increase the atmosphere around the battle. But anyway, great job!

Great job on this.

As the two others already suggested I suggest it another time. Add some plates on to the ground, more plants, foliage... I think this guide will help you a lot: http://www.classic-c...scapehowto.html

My first build was also a bit like this so brick on! After a little bit time I realized that I improved very much.

That's a pretty nice tower, but I would loose the round corners on top, and either stick with the square look or make the whole thing have those 45 degree angled corners. And I would give the guy on top either a bow or a crossbow or at least some rocks he can throw:)

He has a crossbow available (in the far corner), he's just not using it. Presumably he could pick off the attachers fairly easily if he picked it up. Maybe he is confident in the abilities of his minions, or wants them to get some battle experience. The defenders look like they are doing ok without his help as they've killed one attacker, though the guy with the axe defending the ladder is looks like he is about to be outnumbered. I reckon this is going to end in defeat for the Lion Knights unless reinforcements show up quickly.

I was watching at it another time and I really like your figposing. Great job on it. Keep up the good work!

A good start. I like the shape of the tower, but its a little bland to look at (some color and texture variations would help). I'd strongly recommend that you read krono111's article too (pay close attention to the rockwork and tree sections). I like the skeleton hanging off the tower and the minifig posing though
