Wat Tambor Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Hey guys, I am proud to present you my latest GoH MOCs. It shows how one of my characters (Petyr) comes to Avalonia in order to help DeGothia with plague prevention. At night, a raven brought a letter from Albion. A request for help, a request to send the most skilled healer to fight the terrible plague that goes about in Avalonia. That night the Greencloack brothers and their Lord Father discussed if they should send help to Avalonia, or to stay out of the affaris of another guild. But Lord Greencloack was deeply committed to send the help that is needed by the people of Avalonia. Lord Greencloack: “Petyr, my son, I'll send you out to fight the infamous plague with the help of the locasls and healers from the other guilds. After you have arrived in Albion, you will recieve more information about your approach from DeGothia.” Petyr: “Will John accompany me?” Sir Greencloack: “No, John will remain here in Mitgardia.” John: “But father, the way to Avalonia is long and dangerous. In the daytime bandints and scoundrels roam the streets and at night wild wolves stray the woods.” Sir Greencloack: “Your company will not be necessary! I will send an escort of armed men to protect your brother. But I want you to stay in Mitgardia, where your family is and furthermore you are my best archer and that means that you are the one who is responsible for training the rangers.” John: “As you wish father!” After the conversation John said goodbye to his brother with a fraternal embrace and Peter and the convoy were on their way to Avalonia... On their way to Albion, the group around Petyr Greenback has crossed the border from Mitgardia to Avalonia the night before. They left their horses at a border fortificatioin and to avoid an armed confrontation with higwaymen and the Drow they took the way through the narrow paths of the Avalonian swamps. C&C welcome! Thanks for watching! Quote
HammerBro Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Both builds are awesome! I love how the rocks in the second build go up to peaks giving the feeling that it continues to a receding rock side. And what is the torso used for the torch bearer in the last picture? Quote
Garmadon Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Nice builds, the rock-work and terrain are great on the second one and the skull is a good detail The tapestry on the first build is nice as well, however, if you are going to use base plates I would advise either covering them with a border or making sure they are all the same color and not distracting (more like they are on the second build). As it is they are a little difficult to spot and only mildly distracting because of the change in colors, so this is just a reminder to keep that in mind for future builds @HammerBro, it is from the old Knights Kingdom sets Quote
mccoyed Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Gorgeous pair of builds. Love the fabric you use for your background as well. Quote
HammerBro Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Thanks Garmadon, I'll have to look it up on bricklink. Quote
Scaevola Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Nice rockwork and path in the second scene. The interior scene is excellent as well Quote
-Carson Haupt- Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 I really like the tapestry and the blending from mud to water. Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Infamous plague? We just heard about it! But otherwise, this is a great build! Quote
Scaevola Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 @TheUtilityBelt32 I suppose killing everyone in a Cornovarian village would make it infamous, and Lord DeGothia did ask for out-of-guild help to combat the plague Quote
Gunman Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Really lovely room there.. And lovely landscaping you make :) Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 @TheUtilityBelt32 I suppose killing everyone in a Cornovarian village would make it infamous, and Lord DeGothia did ask for out-of-guild help to combat the plague True. So true. Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Lovely build! Great path in the second build! Quote
mrcp6d Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Two excellent builds! The landscaping in the second one seems almost Asian-inspired to me and I like that a lot. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Lovely interior, the suit of armor, table, and candlestick all look great The landscape is equally impressive, your cobblestone design is one of the best I've seen and those trees are excellent Quote
krono111 Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Great landscaping on the second one. I love how you made the stone path. Quote
Infernum Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 (edited) Love both builds! The walls on the first are great, and so are the tapestry and statues! Edited May 6, 2014 by Infernum Quote
