For a few months, I've been building this crane as an extra crane for my LTM 11200. I chose the Liebherr LTM 1350 6.1 because I find it an exciting crane. It is already driveable, but the main focus are the crane functions. Currently, I'm working on the boom, also with the big V (I don't know how it's called) Anyway, here are a few images: Quote
0RBlT Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Just super MOC. Very realistichno.Vot just very interesting how you solve the problem with lifting boom, it is very sensitive issue for many who make such monstrov.Obychnymi linear actuators there will not be enough: ( Quote
skriblez Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Awesome looking moc! Not very readable for us but the pictures told a nice tale :) Quote

We also have a size limit for pictures which is 800x600. The reference for these guidelines is in my signature. Please pay attention to them in future, as they are designed to allow you to share your MOC with the greatest number of people. Thank you. Quote
Hrafn Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 (edited) Zwergi, That's a great looking crane! I look forward to seeing your further progress. If you want any help with posting in English, ask around - I speak a little German, and I'm sure there are other EB members who would be happy to help out. [Wenn Sie etwas Hilfe moechtest, im English zu schreiben, koennen wir hilfen. Ich spreche ein bisschen Deutch, und glaube es gibt hier andere Menschen, die koennen auch hilfen.] For non-German speakers, his initial post said (roughly) that over the last couple of months he's been building this as an auxiliary crane for his LTM 11200 crane. It can currently drive and he is now working on the crane portion, including the V-shaped portion (the two struts that stick out behind the main boom, over the ends of which cables run - I don't know what they're called). DrJB Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Well ... there is always translate.google.com ... That said, very nice MOC indeed. Waiting to see the final product. Quote
legolijntje Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 That's looking very good. I can't wait to see the final result. Quote
Lakop Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 When I saw the first picture I thought, "Oh no! someones building a massive crane that looks great and has all the functions!" Looks like I was right. H Quote
KirTech LAB Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Very nice crane! I have a doubts about small pneumatic cylinders - they are too weak for this Giant... Quote
Blastem Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I am not sure if cylinders will support that crane arm... but... Great MOC indeed. Want to look your progress :) Quote
Lakop Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Very nice crane! I have a doubts about small pneumatic cylinders - they are too weak for this Giant... I would think It would need an array of the normal pneumatic cylinders. H Quote
Therion Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Looking good! I believe the V-shape on the boom is called "Y-Guy". Quote
gti180 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 very impressive. How are you going to lift that boom its huge! Quote
LUCKYTHEOPERATOR Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 (edited) (rough)Translation (by legolijntje): For a few months, I've been building this crane as an extra crane for my LTM 11200. Currently, I'm working on the boom, also with the big V (I don't know how it's called) Anyway, here are a few images: I am a crane operator here in the USA. The V system you're referring to is called a "Y" guying system. It is used to help suspend the boom during heavy lifts. You can go to liebherr.com for more info or more terminology. That is an impressive model you are completing. Hope to see it done in the future and would love to build one myself. Edited June 13, 2016 by Blakbird : Removed huge quote. Quote
