[MOC] Cuusoo 500 supporters: Dantooine Express

In order to celebrate the 500th supporter of my Cuusoo project (see here) I built this Starspeeder 1000 of Dantooine Express:

This is the 2nd alternative version I built (the first one was from Air Alderaan when I reached 250 supporters)

I don't know whether this model would make it through review, given everything we know and don't know about LEGO's Lucasfilm licensing and the previous Star Wars project to hit the 10k vote mark, but I've supported this one just in case (a while ago, actually, before you posted this thread). Nice to see you're doing variations for the revamped version of the attraction.

Well, the UCS Sandcrawler didn't make the cut as TLG already had something similar in the pipeline, but it would be curious to see what will happen if the Invisible Hand (9075 votes) will get to the jury stage. Other than Dr Who, TLG has never taken out any Star Wars projects because of licensing issues, and apart from rumours that Star Wars LEGO projects would 100% not make the cut, I'm still striding for 10000 votes :-)

And if the project won't make it? Well, then I'll probably make a limited series of the vehicle myself

Rex couldn't have been more wrong when he promised passengers a smooth flight to Endor! Generations have enjoyed his "first flight" over and over again, and now the journey continues in LEGO form.

Awesomesauce! But it's not really surprising to me that LEGO folk would know a fair bit about an aspect of the Star Wars universe, after all.
